Director Jonny Campbell teams with screenwriter William Davies for this satirical look at the notorious, purportedly genuine 'Alien Autopsy' video that fascinated viewers worldwide before being exposed as an elaborately staged hoax in 1995. Aired in America by the Fox network, the Alien Autopsy video caused an overnight sensation among UFO enthusiasts while proving just how susceptible to hype the media truly is. Now viewers can follow the adventures of ambitious British pranksters Gary (Ant McPartlin) and Ray (Declan Donnelly) as they execute one of the largest-scale practical jokes ever attempted. Bill Pullman and Harry Dean Stanton co-star in a comedy that encourages viewers to believe none of what they hear, and only half of what they see. The film makes the first big screen outing for television celebrities Ant and Dec. The film makes the first big screen outing for television celebrities Ant and Dec.
DVD Description
From the director of Shameless and Phoenix Nights (Jonny Campbell) comes the truth behind one of the biggest hoaxes the world has ever seen. In 1995 a piece of footage shook the world. With a bigger world-wide audience than Live Aid a piece of top-secret military film from Roswell in 1947 that showed the autopsy of an Alien being was broadcast around the globe. The film was brought to the attention of the world by best friends Ray (Declan Donnelly) and Gary (Anthony McPartlin). Media frenzy ensues which catapults Ray and Gary into the limelight, but the two of them have an even bigger secret and if the truth got out what would happen to them? Based on true events, Alien Autopsy is the story of two unlikely lads from London who became icons of UFOlogy.

A not very well known film, but I really enjoyed it. I know Ant and Dec don't look appealing as actors, but their debut on the big screen is a hit. The film has great charm, and is definitely worth the purchase of under £4.00.

If you enjoyed the wit and charm of Paul (Frost and Pegg), then you will really enjoy this.
