Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS -- and connects directly to Scott's 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world -- whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

Looks stunning, but sadly terrible film with numerous plot holes. One for fans of the series/Scott only.
I wanted to like this film so much
Same.
It's like Tron 2!

True this, £13 is usually my entry point for must have 4Ks but this isn't must have (although I do own it as a sucker for the Alien franchise, but that's more my problem than a money saving problem)
Train smash of a film
Spaceship crash you mean
Ooooo a shiny turd
Like the Terminator series of films, the first two were brilliant, the third ok-ish then everything that followed went downhill from there.
sooo, 3D was rubbish for the most and as a result did fail, I think HDR is a daylight robbery on 99% of cases. Same for 4k, usually a complete cheat, not sure why it does need a 4k tv to watch an upscaled 1080p movie. If a proper 4k transfer the difference is very but very minimal.
LOL I read the comments and could not believe my eyes how could anyone say this was a bad film Alien is the all time classic horror/science fiction that set the bar so high it really has never been equaled. Then I finally understood Doh! I have this in the non-watched pile lets leave it there ;-)
I remember getting this with Prometheus 4K and Independence Day 4K in a bundle from Entertainment Store on Ebay for £24.99 around Black Friday. For that price it's not bad.

4K a complete cheat? What makes you say that? What do you watch your content on?
All my current film purchases are on 4K blu ray and films have never looked better. Also, a 2K DI is not 1080p. Upscalling a 2K DI is much more sophisticated than what any tv does. I’m lucky enough to be able to watch my content on a 65” Oled and things have never looked more cinematic.
4K, HDR and WCG are a fantastic addition to a new format and you won’t find films looking better on anything else.
Just my two cents.

Have some heat OP, it’s a decent price for a 4K blu ray.

I got 2 same oled and 2 same players and can make good comparisons at the same time. 4K movies are overpriced for the crap quality compared to ordinary blu ray
You need to go to specsavers
and you must be blind if you cannot see the minor differences between the highly priced 4k movie and the normal much cheaper and very reliable bluray

I like Prometheus but hated this, never seen so much stupidity in a film, David " come here and take a look into the creepy glowing mound on the floor where an alien will jump out at your face and kill you' Oram 'Ok'proceeds to walk over to stick his head right over the thing.
Not to mention the women shooting the flammable objects in the ship while locking her friends in a room with the alien....
