SOLD! Was about £5 in Steam sale the other week and I passed it up but snapped this up.

Found out about this on preys-world.com and just purchased.

Paid through Paypal, showed me my activation code, dropped the code into steam and all I gotta do is download when I wanna play! Perfect!

Though it is a 15GB download....

Does this have the Company name at the end of in-game? i remember they accidently solde Alpha protocal cheap but had their name at the back when you playing that game.

I shouldnt think so, Im at work so cant test it but once you purchase just register the activation code in steam and it will be added to your list like nay other steam game.

Problem! Bought the game. Even though I already have Steam, the download/installation process wants to remove Steam and all Steam content from my computer and then reinstall Steam. This sounds a bit drastic doesn't it???

Has anyone figured out how to avoid this and just download the game?

Oh dear, deal poster has registered and subsequently been banned in less than 24hours.

Err - this was a legit deal wasn't it? Green Man Gamings is a kosher site isn't it?

I know, I signed up for a new account as this one hasn't been working properly for more than 6 months and despite repeatedly contacting HotUKDeals it still hasn't been rectified. I thought since I had given them advanced warning they would not mind, ah well.

Yes it is a safe site, I have only had good dealings with them. In their time operating plenty of deals of theirs have been on these forums.

just copy and paste your code into steam:

in top nav bar choose Games > Activate a Product on Steam click through to where it asks you to put the code in, paste it submit and wollah!

It will start the download/install process, but hit cancel if you dont want to download andit will stay in your steam list forever ready for you to download when you are ready.

Sorry i try to explain what i meant

When you activate the game, does it read Aliens Vs. Predators – GMG” (GMG = Green Man Gaming) to Steam?

Because when you start playing the game, othr friend can see the GMG which kinda bugs me

IMHO, the people at Green Man Gaming really do need to provide some clearer instructions on how to download their games. When you purchase the game, you get shown as screen with a bloody great green button that says "DOWNLOAD" and an activation key. Not unreasonably I clicked on the DOWNLOAD button cos that's sort of what you usually do when you want to download something.

However if you do, then you go right into doing a new Steam installation which is one almighty mess as you have to remove your existing Steam installation and that wipes out anthing you've download before. I lost over 100GB of files (although admittedly I can download them again from Steam).

It should say something like "If you already have Steam installed, do not click on the DOWNLOAD button and simply type the activation key into Steam.

These people are idiots not to have a system in place to avoid this confusion. I am so angry, I will never ever buy anything from GMG again!
