Good price
Given it a bit of heat but it did drop to £250 last black Friday so might be worth holding out for a couple weeks.

It's good for a very few games to be honest.... Even at that you need to be in a very top % of players to benefit,

1440p 144hz is safe ground
Does buying it from Amazon still allow you the 3 year warranty buying direct from Dell does?

Been looking for a 25 inch in that spec, but seems like not many around and if they are not affordable.
Price is decent. I'd... much rather have slightly better res than endless, (imo pointless) 1080p frames. There's a (sorry but) "try hard, wannabe pro" type of folk who go heavily for this. It's a pretty odd niche though and most folks would probably go 1440p.
1080p is absolutely fine, it's 10+ years old now though. The CPU + GPU needed to run this would in... 90% of cases be far better used on a balanced 1440p setup.
The picture quality is so bad it's a second monitor for competitive gaming.

The picture quality of my Gsync ver. isn't bad at all. But it is a second monitor for my AW3418DW.

This is a great screen and not much more expensive. Have this screen myself. Top notch. Just make sure you plug into hdmi port 2 to get the 144hz
This monitor is suited for competitive gaming, overall an average 240Hz monitor. This would be unusable for watching movies, or general media consumption (image quality is bad, below average for TN standards).
image quality is fine , i watch movies netflix and amazon prime , people can go look at all the reviews on Youtube to decide for themselves , they wont listen to one persons comment

Contrast lottery (600:1 to 1000:1), maximum 93% sRGB coverage and TN flaws (vertical gamma shift, terrible viewing angles) make the image quality objectively bad. If you use this for watching movies/consuming media, then your image quality standards are quite low. YouTube monitor reviews (apart from reputable channels, such as PCMonitors.info) are generally uninformative and based of eye perception alone.

I currently own (and have owned prior) a 240Hz monitor with a similar (or identical) panel to the one being used in the AW2518HF, and have experienced these issues first hand.
Just look at the amazon reviews people , they all cant be wrong

Amazon "Reviews" are extremely uninformative, only a very small percentage would be even remotely relevant.
