Very nice price. Perhaps also useful to know there is also currently £100 off a £750 spend at Dell on American Express offers in the Amex app.

Good to know! I still won't have AMEX, btw (edited)

As someone who owns one of these:

Positives: 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response times, oled blacks, preset profile settings so you don't burn your eyes out (this is very bright IMO, I use Creator which is the dimmest user preset).

Negatives: can be slow to change input source, every 4 hours it bugs you to let it do an oled screen refresh - which you can postpone but since it's 'recommended' you feel obligated - takes a few minutes of it being essentially off, though pressing power again cancels the refresh program, some models have coil whine. Mine did intermittently but I found if I turn off the gamer RGB backlights it goes away - sucks if you actually want to use that though. Overall would I buy again? ... ... ... Maybe just maybe, but I'd consider if there were any better options.

This price is £200 less than I paid so good discount! At this price it's very worth considering. There's also a new Samsung that uses the same panel but may have better OSD. (edited)

Got mine last week, didn't like it at all despite being a big fan of oled, returned it and ordered the Samsung QN90B. Wasn't impressed with the resolution and ultrawide isn't for me.

    Great price though, voted hot.
    Alex_H's avatar
What did you primarily use it for? I wouldn't be able to go back to a 16:9 ration monitor now I've used an ultra wide.
  4. thedynasty's avatar
Ahh man, Can get this for £300 through work Dell discount, any chance Dell/Alienware will release a 45" ultrawide this year?

I've held out soo long I'll lose the work discount in August if I don't use it.
I currently have the 32" and I'd be giving up vertical real-estate for horizontal.
    ASHTON955's avatar
Honestly if you can get this for £300 I’d just buy it then if a new monitor that you want comes out you’ll still make a profit on this selling it second hand. Are you sure it’s the same model £300 seems ridiculously cheap
  5. matt139's avatar
Good price, just be mindful 2nd gen panels are rumoured to be available in the next few months.
    DarrylJohn's avatar
These have a good 3 year warranty anyway - if it's gonna go wrong it's chance to be in this window! I believe firmware us also updateable aswell - not so with the more expensive model.
  6. dirtydog351's avatar
Right as i have now ordered, i can share the code.. ended up doing the following to get the amex £100 off too.

SWLLD$$WGLCCJQ (you will need to clear cookies to use it) OP you might want to update your post

For me its £654.18 + hopefully 7.35% TCB which should make this order £598.76

Option to choose between this and a 42" C2, any ideas?
    arfster's avatar
This gets brighter, especially in SDR.

On the C2's side, it's a lot more screen, both in physical size (+50%ish), and in pixels (+67%). Need to be comfortable sitting that close though, and have the gaming hardware to drive it.

I guess there's also the curve consideration (plus or minus?), and ABL for desktop use.

The other big consideration: we're about to see a whole raft of cheapish mini-LED displays coming. Not perfect blacks like these due to blooming, but incredible brightness, and no problems with burn-in. (edited)

    I have this monitor.
I highly recommend it for gaming.
    easily worth this price.

This version is free sync and supposedly doesn't do hdr properly with nvidia cards, is that true? Apparently the DW version is needed instead of DWF
    Shahintr's avatar
In the most recent update in the last week or two it received an update to address this issue.

Got mine today- 2 dead pixels
    WyssanyPaput's avatar
So mine came in today with an EU power cord, no UK instruction, Turkish and Russian warranty card and some Arabic sticker 😳
Rung Dell and they will process a replacement wire in 24-48 working hours

Halifax are offering 10% Dell cash back up to £80 max discount. Would this work alongside the voucher code ?
    dirtydog351's avatar
Yes, also amex is offer 100
  14. cakepanda's avatar
Got mine today! £659 with the Amex £100 cash back (which has already been refunded). No dead pixels. so far silent too, no fan noise but probably because it has not been on long enough.
Colour fringing around text a bit worse than expected but not a deal breaker. Overall very happy!
  15. anonyftw34's avatar
Update: Received it yesterday, after ups tried to deliver it to the wrong house, had to dirve to a collection place.

Monitor is fantastic, got the Amex 100 back as well. No dead pixels either. Silent and no noise.
Cant even tell there is any color fringing, I am using a Macbook Pro 2020 to work on this with a USB C to Displayport adapter. Text is completely clear when sitting at a normal desk distance (arms length away). Everyone complaining over nothing.

Gaming on windows looks completely fine too.
  16. brndn's avatar
Had this for a few months now for work and play, excellent monitor and would recommend to anyone with a lack of financial self control like myself
    rhymnosauras's avatar
Is it decent for work as well as games? Gonna build a PC soon and want this monitor, but don't want an extra monitor for my kids homework etc thanks.
  17. AncientYouth's avatar
if its Oled why is the HDR so low? 400
    Scott_TurnerR6v's avatar
I can only assume they mean HDR TrueBlack400. Description from Dell’s website shows:

Expect incredibly realistic visuals for gameplay that draws you in deeper thanks to 1000 nits peak brightness, infinite contrast ratio and VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certification.

    Hope this helps
  18. anonyftw34's avatar
    Just bought one using
    - AMEX £100 cashback over £750
    - Quidco used to go to dell website
    - On dell website used 5% student discount code
Now we wait to see if the AMEX deal is still valid

Is it good for watching movies and surfing the internet? How is it compared to LG32GQ950-B?

Currently have Samsung 28" G70A UHD, 144Hz, HDMI 2.1 Odyssey Gaming Monitor, is it worth upgrading?

    Anyone can advise, please?
    Teo_Narl's avatar
This is an OLED panel, so when it comes to movies.. it's almost the best money can get you at this point.

However, If you are going to use it to "browse the net" and not play games, it's an overkill.

This is a gaming monitor. You can get much cheaper office ones which are still as good for movies, but don't have high refresh rate and low response time games need.
  20. Ahmad_Mohamad's avatar
Had the Samsung G8 Oled. Returned it as the ultrawide aspect was not comfortable for me. Back to 27” and I am fine.

    Fantastic price.

Ah! So tempted... I have the older 240hz version from a couple of years ago which I absolutely love. Problem is I don't want the drop in fps but the builders knocked it causing lines down one side of the panel. (edited)
  23. WyssanyPaput's avatar
I bought it for £706.04 (student 20%Totum discount code + 5% dell newsletter code). Also got £40 cashback from Quidco tracked. Total price £666.04.
Nearly 30% cheaper than normal price 🤑.
    Thank you so much.

My monitor arrived this-morning. So-far very happy. I was a little concerned about text-fringing, however text looks perfect to my eyes. Motion and HDR Gaming is superb.

Says at DELL but link takes to Amazon
    Stephen_RobertsdpL's avatar
Agree, the link is completely wrong, it should be Dell and the Amazon page in the link is the GSYNC version of the monitor instead.
  28. Adam182's avatar
Fantastic monitor, bought mine the last time this deal came around and do not regret it at all! games looks simply amazing on it.
  29. liltman's avatar
As someone who makes his monitor brightness very dull. What does this monitor do for £800 that ones around £300 wouldn't? lol

I can't handle my screens too bright. On my current 4k one I have it on 55/100 which is actually quite high for me lol. On my friends I have it on about 10/100 lol.

This still feels really bright on 55/100 btw.
    Stesha83's avatar
Black is black on an OLED. 55/100 is really high.

I've seen some modification sold on Etsy for about £20 so you can mount standard VESA.

Any advice on this vs the Asus ProArt PA348CGV?
Looking to use mainly for video editing and have a colour calibrator i can use on them.
    Snoopy20's avatar
I've decided to avoid as I think from reading up about the oled type that it's focused on being a gaming monitor above office/productivity work.
