Alienware bargains to be had @ Dell Outlet

Found 14th Jun 2013
Alienware has recently updated its whole range. I beleive this is why there is an upsurge of machines on the outlet surfacing as many people cancel orders on older models and instead order new ones. So Dell place the cancelled orders on the outlet.
I'm checking at the prices are variable from 20-50% off the real Alienware price.
You'll have to offset the fact that the spec is a little older than the new models, but there are some cracking units there for good prices.

Lazy, ain't you?
When you claim the website price, AT least set the specs to match my prices.
Alienware M14X R2
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-3740QM (6MB Cache, up to 3.7GHz w/ Turbo Boost 2.0)
^^^ --- You won't get that or the Killer wireless for £799 buddy

*Every unit I posted* was hundreds, and the M18R2 was @£1000 less than the web price, and all were upgraded specs inone way or another*. You won't have seen a better deal today. Period.

When the V0rl0n posts a deal - Its a steal.

Do the refurb laptops come with brand new batteries?

The Alienware stuff is too expensive for me but there's quite a few 17" i3's for around £300 that interests me.

But how likely are they to break down having a lot of high power parts all stuffed into small spaces?

I'm wary of buying any gaming laptops from Dell after some bad experiences. Parts failing after months multiple times.

These refurbs come with full warranty. The alienware units are not skinny ultrabooks. They are generally built to cope well with the game components they use. Most of these tend to be cancelled orders, or returns - they tend not to be old, so batteries should be good. BUT they are game rigs, if you expect mega battery life, suggest you look elsewhere..

I'm not too sure they are built to cope with the components. I've had a number of motherboard failures with Dell XPS laptops and now that Dell own Alienware I'd be nervous of the same thing happening.
If you take the extended warranty, as I do if paying £1000+ on a system, it will at last you the length of the warranty at the very least.

I've also read a lot of posts from other people complaining of mb and gpu failures with Dell gaming laptops. IF I saw one going for cheap enough to throw away after the warranty expired... well.
