AliExpress 11/11 Xiaomi Sale Items - Singles Day + Others

Edited by:"davening"Found 1st Nov
These look like the prices starting from 11/11/2017.
I saw these while looking via AliExpress App, specifically Xiaomi Deals.
Here are some of the prices that will be live on 11/11 but possible exchange rate dependent on that day.
Their prices include free standard shipping.
(Note: Recommend not to use DHL
because they will request monies to pay for Customs in advance.)

Here are some of the entries.
(Note:There were specified stock levels but was not sure they were valid figures as they were low eg 2000 units.
But if so, would advise moving quickly)
There may be other models introduced on that day, to take into account.
Make preparation for your purchase by putting chosen item into Shopping Cart in advance of 11/11 and any further discounts through coins and playing games I have no clue about.

I’ve been waiting for the Mi A1 to drop in price

The A1 looks great value for money that's the star attraction in these lot. I'm happy with my RN4 but if I was buying today I think I'd go for that.

I bought a redmi note 3 special edition in the 11-11 aliexpress sales last year for my son for xmas.Just a word of warning this day is called singles day in China opposite to valentines day and is the biggest day's sales in volume sold so expect a longer wait than normal for your phone to arrive. Last year my order came 5 days before xmas it was 3 weeks before it got dispatched i emailed the seller who told me to be patient as he had sold over 10,000 items that day and it is taken a longer time to get orders dispatched and it will arrive before xmas. And as i said it did and there were no custom charges so just expect a longer wait. Great post op heat here.

Me too.

Wish I had a reason to buy the RN4 or Mi A1, they look good for the money. Already got too many phones and tablets

Would I need to expect customs charges from here? Only bought small cheap things from them before.

Did you have expedited delivery by Fedex or DHL?? Every package I get from them is accompanied by a duty demand, even when below the duty threshold; yet much more expensive items - including a roof rack - delivery via Chinamail and in the UK by the Post Office, have been delivered duty free.

ooooh just in time... I need a new phone, cant decide between the Mi A1 for the price or shall I go for the more premium Mi Mix 2????

Also need a new phone, my ascend mate 7 is broken and no longer charges most of the time. Whats best bang for buck here?

My wife has the Mi Mix 2 256gb and it's the best thing after sliced bread. If you have the money, go for it.

My samsung note 4 has the 50% charge bug

Other AliExpress stores have their own sales too, which don't appear on this special deals page. Although they might get added later. "Eternal Team" store landing page: eternalteam.aliexpress.com/sto…919 shows they'll have the 4/64GB Redmi Note 4 Global Version for £123

Advice please. I like the Mi Max2 and I'm on the Three network and live in London. Will lack of band 20 make a difference. I keep reading about it here all the time and I'm still confused. I do use GPS regularly. Shall I buy?

I've used a couple of Xiaomi phones in 3, there are no issues. That mi mix 2 price is great. Much less than I paid a few weeks back

Thanks for your comments. The mi mix2 is twice the price of mi max2. It's about the risk and lack of warranty. Still got about 10 days to make up my mind and hopefully price drops further.

If you live in a apartment building or spend most of your day in a big office building/shopping mall type area then you definitely B20 as the operators use this frequency for deep indoor coverage. Other than that you dont need it.

It would make no difference on Three. They use B20 for their 'Super-Voice' which only phones supplied by them can use. If the phone doesn't have their VoLTE support, I don't think you can use their B20 at all.

three.co.uk/Dis…ice
"4G Super-Voice doesn't work on other non-Three devices yet however, even if the manufacturer has stated that it's VoLTE compatible."

jmcomms.com/201…ns/
"I don’t care about VoLTE I just want to use 800MHz.
You can’t use 800MHz without VoLTE. If you could, you may be in a situation where you would have signal but not be able to place a phone call, this would cause all sorts of chaos for Three in terms of customer complaints from people who don’t understand, so Three made the decision to only allow VoLTE+800MHz or nothing.

Therefore simply speaking, lack of B20 doesn't matter. If I went ahead with the purchase, I will notice no different. Correct? Thanks again.

Three inTouch is WiFi calling. Whether the phone has B20 or VoLTE support isn't relevant.
three.co.uk/Dis…uch

They mention it beside where they say non Three devices can't use 4G Super-Voice. All it requires is Android 4.0 or above and you don't even need phone signal, to use it. It's not the phone using its own 4G bands to access it.

What Android version are they on and how are they for keeping updates fresh and frequent? I really like the look of the Mi Mix phones, but I'm worried I'll miss the purity of my Pixel's vanilla OS and the fact it's always first in line for updates.

I'll make a note of the date. The prime has caught my eye. Heat

Mi A1 is stock android and google have committed to provide updates for 2 years. Mi A1 looks solid but im happy with my purchase of the redmi note 4 64gb version. just awaiting delivery.

Thats a great price on the Mi A1, I have one & love it for the price I paid (£166) so at that price it's an absolture steal.

If you go for free delivery, you're unlikely to get customs charges but it's not 100% guaranteed. If you check older AliExpress deals for Xiaomi phones, there's usually comments from buyers after they've received it and they tend to say they didn't get any charges. Recently there's been quite a number of people who bought from Banggood getting customs charges though but that seems to be isolated to Banggood and not other Chinese sellers.

I bought a phone from aliexpress a few months ago, it has an annoying fault, contacted the seller, they strung me along for a while till it was too late to start a dispute, then they just stopped answering messages. Contacted the manufacturer, no reply, contacted aliexpress and all I got was "We do care, however please be reminder, aliexpress is a platform, we are not in control for both customers (Buyers and sellers action)." I knew I was taking a gamble, and I've ended up with a semi functional phone, could have been worse.

Their warranty page provides this. "If a phone or tablet you bought on AliExpress stops working due to a manufacturing defect, Allianz Global Assistance will help to quickly repair or replace your device. Coverage is available on all devices purchased in France, Poland, Germany, Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands.

Seems like a really good price for this. Basically a Mi A1 without stock android/dual camera but a 25% bigger battery and smaller size in terms of height

That's what section 75 is for ..... you will know for next time

Redmi 4X 32GB Global
3GB 32GB B20 included
£89.97

I thought the 4x was the Chinese version ? , this surely cannot be the global version , more likely the Chinese version taken out of the box and flashed with a global rom ...... anyone any more knowledge on this particular offering ?

£72, is what made it a gamble I was prepared to take. I knew I had no protection, but it was a nice phone for the money, the fault doesn't detract from that price, I've managed a work around and now it is no longer an issue.

That's only the 5.5" Note series. Redmi Note 4X = Chinese equivalent of Redmi Note 4 Global Version. However, the 5.0" Redmi 4X has the same name in China and Global Version regions (but it's called Redmi 4 in India). The Redmi 4X Global Version has been posted quite a lot in the past. A deal from a few days ago<

It would be sealed with Global ROM + B20 + 'Global Version' sticker just like the Redmi Note 4 Global Version.

Stop making stuff up. I've got both Three InTouch and 4G Supervoice calling enabled on my RMN4, which doesn't have B20 support.
