True. Although HUKD did get me into it after many years without giving it a thought with a cheap deal on a Baofeng a year or so ago.

Yep, looks like a nice bit of kit .. I was into it seriously for many, many years, but the internet and applications like Skype killed the whole appeal for me .. trying to bounce signals around the globe, when I can just Skype my relatives 12,000 miles away day, or night .. made it seem very out of date, and strangely rather pointless
I still think about buying an old HF set though, and having a few conversations, but I think it would be more of a trip down memory lane rather than relighting the fire. Many happy days tho
