Alio Egg Poaching Bags, 15 for 99p from Aldi...

My wife likes poached eggs on toast and has wanted to try these egg poaching bags for ages. However even off Amazon & EBay, these things don't come cheap costing around £2.80 for 20. At that price, the bag (14p) costs almost as much as the egg. So I banned her from buying them.

However I noticed on Friday that Aldi currently have these on sale at 99p for 15 (6.6p each) which is a bit more reasonable. So I bought two packets for her as a present.

Honestly! Women!! Never satisfied!!! You would think she would be grateful that I had thought about her. Next time I just won't bother...

And they say romance is dead!

Just cut a square of cling film, crack the egg in the middle and then pick up the corners and twist. Surely that would be easier lol

Will give these a try, thanks.

So she needs her eggs sorting and your solution in some half baked attempt in a bag. Hmm.

thanks op never heard of these and I love poached eggs love fat

Don't think these are suitable for the oven. Haha.

Poached eggs are pretty easy without a bag, but if you really need to just use cling film like I mentioned above, it works perfectly.

Or get silicone egg poachers from Tesco, a pair for £2. Reusable and perfect eggs every time.

That is a good idea, no waste at all then.

stick it in a boiling pan with the egg. Will be well and truly done there.

It,s the price some hukd cheapskates have to pay(or not)!

Think you'll find thousands of inmates use a cereal plastic bag and poach it in a kettle so don't scoff if you ask for ideas......
