Good spot OP - bought this at release and was worth the tenner then
Great movie! Excellent price
Saw this at the cinema. Excellent movie.
Thanks op, I’ve been wanting to see this since I heard it was going to be made!
Voted hot
Such a great film.
I wish I had watched this at the cinema. It's a fun film which looks and sounds great. If you have the right kind of audio system then get the disc. I'm sure the iTunes copy will look great because it's iTunes but the audio can't quite match the disc. Either way, enjoy!

I think Dolby Atmos should still be decent enough for £4.99.

Of course it will. It just won't match the disc.

This film went right under the radar for some reason and didn't get the attention it deserved. Maybe it was all about Marvel at the time I don't know. Great film and one of the few that is worth a rewatch nowadays. I hope they make a second? Anyone know if they are? Have some heat OP!!
Really enjoyed this movie.
Great price. Just checked Amazon Prime and it looks like they've matched it.

There does't seem to be a 4K digital version of this movie on Amazon Prime video as far as I can see, the £4.99 version on Amazon is just HD/1080p.

It plays additional audio from the atmos speaker channels but the overall audio quality is significantly lower on all streams compared to disk. It still amazes me that anyone is allowed to market "Dolby Atmos" without it being high bit rate. It's worth it for some for the ease of access though...

You are right though, for £4.99 this is a bargain. I paid three times that price for the disk.
Watching this in 3D Imax was something quite special. When 3D is done right, its amazing. And i actually loved the movie too. Sadly a sequel is very unlikely.

I only watched it because of the positive reviews on here, I appreciate that it's just a matter of opinion when it comes to movies or music, but I found it to be very predictable, Christoph Waltz looked like he wondered what he was doing in a film with such daft dialogue, it was like he was phoning his lines in.

Phoning his lines in!!! Like it.
I agree to a degree but was light hearted and very easy to watch. Just a bit of fun. It's no dialogue winner chicken dinner prize winning script by any means.

The disc vs stream argument used to come up a ridiculous amount of times on iTunes deals like nobodies business. But it's died down a bit more now. I think you'd have to be a bit of an audiophile to care pretty much about the difference though tbh. Especially since there's just no competition when it comes to disc vs stream prices. I remember the iTunes sale at the start of the year were all sorts of 4K new movies were only around £2.99. Discs are still good if you're a collector or like the proper source for video and audio quality of course.

Absolutely true. I streamed the new Witcher Netflix show yesterday and the audio was noticable worse than any 4k disks I have (I have started to collect and have about 30 physical 4ks, with many standard blurays). I do have a semi decent Denon AVR and monitor audio speakers with dedicated centre and BK subwoofer/atmos speakers too. If I just had a nice TV with soundbar I would 100% only use streaming due to the amazing prices. The main two issues for me personally are banding and audio fidelity on streams.

It's not really an argument unless a stream buff says the quality is the same as in terms of bit rate and data it's 1/4 of the information. It IS only really noticable one decent equipment though.

Have you checked out the videos with disc and streams next to each other? Should check them out how near enough identical they look, plus with someone actually there to see it and give there thoughts on it. Streaming has come a long way.

I think a lot of people might not or can't play movies through some good audio speakers because of neighbours, the time of day, or having young kids etc. So have to just watch them through TV speakers or headphones not to be too loud. I think if audio wasn't as important to you, then you would definitely look in to streaming a bit more maybe. Definitely worth it for the prices though mate.

I do agree. I think streaming has its place and as I said, I watched the Witcher series yesterday and subscribe to netflix 4k and amazon 4k. It's just that if I want the ultimate experience I will buy the disk.
