Contemporary, vibrant, and chic – the De'Longhi Icona Capitals KBOC3001 Jug Kettle captures the essence of capital cities. It'll look great on any kitchen countertop – and you can match it with other items in the Icona Capitals range.

Importantly, it makes a great brew too. Rapid boil means you won't have to wait long, while the washable limescale filter catches all those bits – great if you're in a hard water area. The electric kettle clearly displays the water level, so you never need to boil any more than you need to.

Welcome ben, had a blue one in one of the AirBnB's, used all the time and its still going strong today! I wanted a yellow one, but now got to "collect" it, as went back to the blooming page to order it for free delivery and it had changed to collect only after I posted the deal!!!

The quality of the stainless in these, is amazing, if you have a nasty hard water or part hard water supply, these just do not cake up, like some of the even more expensive tat steel made ones!

Can’t complain for spending the money at all then if it lasts longer than a year it’s worth it to me I needed a replacement anyway just had a cheap £10 which was truly truly awful

Agreed, the blue one we have, is the lower spec one, same style, but only 2000w and no rapid boil, its been in place, for at last 3 years, do not even think its been descaled or had the fuse blow on it either in that time, still makes a lovely pot of brew!

3 years with no faults now that is impressive made the right choice was worth waiting
Pretty heavy.
Good deal
50 quid for a kettle is mental....

..... almost as mental as a onner for a kettle !
Awsome product and a beautiful yellow colour. Looks awsome in my kitchen along with the toaster from the same range.
We’ve had our red one for ten years...still going strong!
These look nice although I'd prefer variable temperature control myself
Amazon same price but in cream and the toaster is cheaper on Amazon for 40.
Edited by: "hawler98" 25th Aug
Not hot for me as I remember this for £40 and honestly is about the right price for this sort of quality.
Also £99 was never meant to be a sale price, just a starter price ready for the 'half price sale 'tatics.
Edited by: "Cunning-Stunts" 25th Aug
The cream Icona Vintage one is the same price in JL, anyone know if it is the same quality? stainless steel elements and has the same features (auto shut off and etc.)?
so it's just simply make the water hot.. for £50
Just boil a pan instead
Great deal. Ordered the red one with free delivery. Thanks

This one was always £99 and used to be £129 last year, it replaces the exact same kettle, that used to be £79 and was sold for £39 in the sales.. 1000w less, no rapid boil auto off and not 304 SS material, hence why this one is more

I was tempted by the Toaster, as had to collect the yellow kettle, as delivery was not an option, did not get it, now its back on home delivery again, might get the toaster to match it!

Do you use warburton's in it ok, eg: thick doorstep bread size to toast?

Very rarely use the toaster. Got it when I went to collect the kettle a few weeks back as I thought it will look good with the rest of the yellow themed kitchen.
£50 for a kettle seems a lot to me. I have a 3kW one from Adsa that has lasted about three years so far and it cost £12.
£100 was the price for a KETTLE?
Why are people commenting about the price? You can apply the same logic to everything! A table is just a table, a car is just a car blah blah...Great deal for this kettle! Some of you might like the budget white £10 jobs but people with taste prefer something a little more upmarket YAWN.

Oh I say. That’s a bit of an OTT response. I could have been clearer though. I meant it’s quite a weighty kettle so people with arthritis or grip/wrist/shoulder problems be warned.
Really terrible. Take ages to boil, not economical in doing so. The metal effect plastic peals off quickly and it has no temperature control.
bitcoin525/08/2019 18:07

Oh that is extremely energy efficient.. not!

Actually a lower wattage kettle will be more efficient, as there will less power loss in the house cabling, Even though it takes longer to boil. Tests have been done to prove this I believe.

Back then you could buy a house for £49
I have one of these, used to be called the McAlite range. Curry’s did a deal for Kettle/Toaster convo (matching brand range) for £99.

About 3 years ago, still going strong - would recommend.
laccc25/08/2019 15:36

so it's just simply make the water hot.. for £50

There are two things in life, that you either care about, or don’t:

Reliability & Style.

If you aren’t one for either, then I’m sure your comment will help those simpler folk.

There’s a difference between not being officiant and being lower power.
