All Apple MacBooks at old prices and 10% credit back if buy on BNPL @ Very

Very still have the MacBook and other MacBooks at the old Apple prices. They also have them in stock. They are also offering 10% back towards these credited to your account if you buy now pay later. I worked out that even with my student discount from Apple Direct, with this offer the 12 inch MacBook with 512GB is costs me about £225 less.

You have to choose buy now pay later, as soon as the credit is applied you pay it off.

With Apple products isn't it always buy now pay later?

Loads of people caught out last time and didn't get their cash back (although i warned them). Do not deal with Very, you'll need screenshots and hours of phone calls to get your cashback, find a student who can buy one for you direct from apple with discount.

well thats your problem not theres

I've never had an issue with Very's BNPL cashback. The main issue with this is impatient customers - if you read the T&C's it says the cashback will be credited by December 28th. Most people buy the deal and expect the cashback within 3 days, then go crazy when it hasn't come through.

Crazy price hike by Apple, blaming GBP fall. Yet prices rising in USD.

You'd think with such ludicrous prices Apple would start paying some taxes!! tax? What is tax?

Even with student discount and no cash back this is still cheaper then via Apple now...

Still more expensive and no benefit now Apple increased prices, reduced the % of discount but most importantly no longer give you 3 years warranty

I don't know if I'm imagining it, but didn't the student discount used to be 15% and now it's 10%?

All it seems Apple have done with the UK prices is give us the USA price but knock £50 off....how generous

Stuck with what to do with Apple really...

Apple do pay tax. It's not their fault if the governments of the countries they base themselves in charge low rates. As a profit making company, they are not obligated to pay a penny more in tax then they legally have to.

you are not. It used to be up to 15% but was always 15% on Macs. It is now 10% and they took away the two extra years free cover. Hence why not really worth buying direct anymore...especially as they have put all their direct prices up.

Just beware if you have any problems - the Very customer service is beyond appalling - found a great for a laptop there I thought but it was a total 'mare! Blood pressure still coming down (and still awaiting a response from the email I sent to the CEO email address!)

I can't seem to get student discount on very only gives me student discount on very exclusive

I bought my MBP in August 2014, was £2000 the discount knocked it to £1700 and I got a £60 gift card. But now they give you a pair of beats instead, I know that 10% is better than nothing but with the price that they now are it's not really that much off it, the new MacBook with the touch bar is £700 more than mine cost

one advantage is that regardless of where you buy an Apple product in the UK you can deal directly with them so no issues like yours.
