All Butter Shortbread 450g in a Sixpence Tin - £5 @ Waitrose

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

They had these last year but I never found them for less than £10.

The tin is embossed rather than printed and milled round the outside (ridged going from top to bottom like a 5 or 10p). It's about 11 inches diameter and 2 inches tall, feels heavy and solid and I really like it. Contains 450g of all butter shortbread but I bought it for the tin!

A few other Waitrose Christmas items reduced to half price as well.

Is that a picture of the tin or just a generic sixpence? If it's the tin …Is that a picture of the tin or just a generic sixpence? If it's the tin then I'm definitely going to get one because the detail is exceptional.

It's a picture of the tin. The detail is great, it's about 11 inches diameter and 2 inches tall.39091515-a9kHi.jpg

This should cost sixpence surely?
Ooh I love this, wondered if it might be reduced at some point! Thank you!

Love the design but not sure I'm posh enough to go waitrose
No chance of not spotting it in your helping of Christmas pudding then...or swallowing it by mistake...

Nice packaging, hopefully the taste is as good. With the current shortbread deals they have reduced butter content to 29% compared to Sainsburys and others 33% all year round offerings.
Given that the same quantity of shortbread in a box was selling in Waitrose for £2 the other day, £3 extra just for a tin seems a bit steep!
I also bought for the tin which looks great

Tin says these have 32% butter if that helps.

Thanks, better than their cardboard wrapped one's that received a lot of heat a week ago. But, then these are twice the price.
GothBoy24/11/2019 12:23

I'm neither, does that mean I can't want one?

By all means, buy what you like Just pointing out this deal will be particularly popular with the little Englanders, which is fine too.
Talk about inflation!
Pretty sure this isn't milled around the edges!

I have one. I've taken photos of it. Not sure how else to convince you.

It might have escaped you, but it is people like you with comments like you have made that are the real problem. Maybe you could keep your prejudices to yourself and you will find yourself that little less angry and more open to adult conversation.
Other side of the tin looks like this

I'm neither angry, nor prejudiced. Maybe people should be angrier about the state of the country though, and those who brought it upon us all. Anyway, the reactions have kind of proven my original point.
How are people getting this when you need to spend 40 pound just to reserve it or 60 for delivery
39099522-GDGa5.jpgGrabbed a couple today! Really happy and good quality tins, Thanks 🔥🔥🔥
Oh I like that.

Walked 20 minutes to the store but none left
Can you get them in John Lewis?

Can you get them in John Lewis?

I had a look but couldn't find them on the JL website so assuming not.
These look absolutely great quality, I love a nice tin (sad I know!). Thanks very much for sharing. Will stop in next time I'm passing.
This is annoying because it made me buy a Six pence coin on eBay

There are some rotten posts in here and this is one of them. Seriously, what's the point?
