I thought I got a great deal with 9 months free. This is crazy good value. No doubt you can stack more free months on top too as I did. FREEINK is a generic code so allowed to be posted here, & I used also a referral code that meant an extra free month on top
(The referrer who gave me the code also gets 1 free month so win-win).

When you register for Instant ink, choose the 300 page pm option. When it's up and running, you can change to a 500 page pm option. It's come at the right time for me as the kids are doing sats & gcse's this year so it's been very cost effective to print out past papers for them. The 2-sided printing is great too (and better for the environment re paper use).

As you near the end of your free months, you can drop your plan down to a more appropriate level. I'll probably go to 100 pages per month for £3.49 as normally I'd print around 80-90 pages pm.

OK, Just been down to Currys to buy one, and I can confirm that once registered with hp you do get 15 months of free ink (inc delivery) and an additional month if you enter the code FREELINK as detailed by others above (Thanks ).
The really strange thing is that when I spoke to Currys they could not see the web page that we the public see as they can only see the 7 month offer! I had to e-mail the actual page to them of the offer for confirmation that it is the 15 month offer as that is what we the public see and apparently there computer system had not updated to the 1st day of the month (today).
Unbelievable offer now I can print up-to 300 photos/copies each month for 16 months (with freelink code) and when ink is low they will automatically send out new cartridges free of charge.
Thanks for the heads up and all who have commented.

Printer was the HP Envy Photo 6234 for £49.99

update, just went to pick up reservation at local Argos for the 4527 and the payment screen warned that I may receive a replacement model. Was given a 5030 which was nice as this is normally £10 more. Can't guarantee everyone will get a 5030 though. Means I shouldn't have a problem getting the 12 months ink.
I’m still not sure how I activate the free ink trial? The box states 7 months but I also read 15 months? Do I have to input a code anywhere, as I cannot see any on the box? Or can I just sign up for the largest plan....and will not be charged? Confused?!

When you set the printer up via 123.hp.com and let it do what it needs to do it will register you for instant ink it will know what printer you have and then apply the amount of months that are on that printer. So if it’s 15 it will add them at that point.

Hi All,

I am looking to replace my Epson SX535WD which I really wish to smash into a thousand pieces as it is driving me insane rejecting inks & will not let me downgrade to previous drivers.

I am looking for another printer with similar features, Photo print/Scan/Duplex Printing & will work with Mac's - which of these HP's would be best option & value with the max number of free ink months please?

Many Thanks!

The 6324 is offering the best value at the moment works well with a Mac and will give you 15 months of any of the three printing plans.

If you buy the 7134 you get 32 months because of the £32 gift card in the box if you stick to the 50 page plan after the initial free months are used.

Hi,

I must be super thick so apologies but can you point me to where on the PC World 7134 listing it says there are the extra months bundled on top to make it up to 32 months as I cannot seem to locate this or any mention of £32 Gift Card being inside?

Many Thanks!

Yeah it’s a bit of a odd it came with 5 months and £32 gift card in the box that would give you the original 9 months for free at £7.99 at 300 pages per month. Now it comes with 16 months as standard you can use the £32 to pay for 16 months at £1.99 50 pages per month.

Can those printers' instant ink promo be set up from a Linux OS or do I need a Mac or Windows machine to do it? Eventually I might virtualize windows on Linux but would prefer not unless it being the only way..
Just bought the 6234 from curry’s yesterday - Great deal thanks OP.
However installed and registered for insta ink today, and whilst it said 12months free at start of registration process after finishing and going to my account there’s no mention of 12 months free. Am I missing something ?

Thanks for that - there is no mention of a £32 gift card inside the box on the PC World page that my old & crusty eyes can see - is this then standard or a guaranteed thing please?

It’s unique to Currys. Now I have noticed some of the boxes no longer show the £32 gift card as a sticker on the boxes so it maybe a risk that you may not got one if it’s not been put in the box. It should looks like this.

Hi,

Many thanks again! If the extra 9 months is no longer applicable then it might be best to get the 6234 then as even if by some lucky chance there is a £32 gift card inside the box of the 7134, then that is sort of negated as it os £40 more costly - am I correct?

Many Thanks!

Yes, you give card details. 15 months to cancel, just set a reminder.
My local Tesco had the Envy 4527 for £30 last week so I'm wondering if that will be eligible?
I guess I will have to phone HP.
