26ppm mono laser printer, with scanner and fax. First page in 8.5 seconds.

Reasonably priced toner cartridges, too. For example, £23 for 3000 pages at Inkredible. It comes with a 1200 page starter cartridge.

Not wireless, but it has an ethernet connector. So, you can plug it into the router and use that connection. Airprint compatible.

Or the colour one for £145
£170 @ John Lewis (colour)

John Lewis
Cheap generic black toners (up to 3,000 pages @ 5% coverage) are available on Ebay for ~ £14 delivered.

When buying toner cartridges make sure they are p/n: D116L, as there are also low capacity ones available.

Excellent AIO printer. I've had this model for over 2 years and it is great. My only complaint is the lack of physical on/off switch, but other than that.... thoroughly recommended.

Heat
Great price for a b&w printer. Usual John Lewis guarentee I assume. B&w is good enough for 99% of my use and the toner is so much cheaper than colour

In the specs it doesn't say it's compatable with windows 10

I'm shocked it doesn't have wifi... for it's RRP...
For the price it's an awesome printer.

I have the Samsung M2885FW which is similar spec plus wireless, fax and duplex. I have been super pleased with the performance.
Cold as "beast from east"

Same yourself some money

WiFi, mono, laser, £80, toners about £5 per 2600 pages.

Toners £5 each if you'll buy two

Samsung's website confirms it's Windows 10 compatible.

That's a very good printer, by the looks of things. It's fast, it has wireless, it has duplex, and the toner is super-cheap. But it doesn't have a scanner, an ADF to feed the scanner, or a fax.

While that one does have cheaper toners and a scanner/copier it does not appear to be Apple Airprint or Google Cloud Print compatible.

You'd still want an automatic document feeder though.

If you've got say 10,20,30 etc pages that you want to scan, it's a complete pain in the ass to constantly have to scan each page individually, lift the lid, scan, change the page, lift the lid, scan....

I guess no scanner
Remember that Samsung has been bought by HP and spare part availability may be an issue going forward! Apart from that I wouldn't touch a Samsung printer with a barge pool
Looks based on the MW2835 which I've got. Decent printer, only problem I find with it is that the manual feeder is a bit rubbish, either skews the paper or wrinkles it. Speed and quality are good and as others say, toners are dirty cheap and readily available.
how much is the white toner? never heard of a black *and* white printer.

A raspberry pi can sort that if you have one lying around. But I do agree. So much more convenient.

How are laser printers for infrequent use? I'm sick of my inkjet printers clogging up so am after a printer that will sit there for weeks or months in-between use!
