I went in for a click and collect order to get £5 voucher for 100 AA batteries. Then saw they have buy one get one half prices. So spent 22.50 on 100AA batteries on 100AAA batteries. Good deal of think.

Anyone who bought with Maplin before Christmas were given a £5 gift card to spend so this could be really good for those people!
Great price. Heat from me. Before the eneloop brigade arrive!
I assume that this is in store only, as not showing on line.
just check the best before date as last time I bought the bulk boxes from them they only had about 10 months left.
Thanks, will try my local store! These batteries always seem to work alright.
Anybody spending this much on batteries really should get rechargeable ones with a charger. Cheaper and wayyyyyy better for the planet

Unless you are using them in childrens toys or cheap 'pretty' lights that get left turned on and thus ruining rechargeable batteries.
And will hence go through loads.
Wait 100 batteries cost usually £14 if I remember right, but with bogof is £22.50?

How would childrens toys or LED lights that get left on ruin rechargeables?
Thanks op got mine. Wasn't advertised as buy one get one half price but staff were happy to confirm that the deal applies.

They go too low voltage and can't be recharged. And if you DO catch them in time, and they can take a charge, but went very low, then it's quite possible you've damaged them and they'll never fully recover.

I have them too but don't last long enough in child's toys or white nose teddy. Pain changing them and at this price I stocked up!

Yeah no idea why it's not online but saw on shelf in Chesterfield and cancelled my click and collect order despite £5 voucher.
Anyone has got a recipe how to pickle them?
Very cheap at 11.25p per battery.
One question tho- What do you do with 200 AA batteries?
I reckon you could build an electric car if they were good lithium ones, but these?

The idea is to buy in bulk and save money on replacing batteries on kids toys
