DEAL CONFIRMED SELECTION BOXES ARE BOG2F INSTORE NOW .

UPDATE AND GLITCH Advert in press states it is 3 for £3 on all of the larger boxes so £1 each. Thanks to Angieth for the update. However, the 7 bar Galaxy ones are going through at £3 but are not in the advert (these are meant to be £4 BOG2F but are going through as £3

I have just heard that Tesco are planning on reducing the price of their large selection boxes (mars, Nestle and Galaxy) from £4 to £3 and putting on a buy one get two free deal from tomorrow (Thursday). Word is they may not do both deals at the same time, but the buy one get two free is definitely happening. So you will get a large selection box with around 8 full size bars for either £1 or £1.33. Cracking deal.
NB not sure if the deal will be online as well, but worth checking.

UPDATE adverts have been spotted Instore stating it will be Buy one get 2 free on all selection boxes. Even better. Even if the large ones are £4, then this deal is by far the best that has been offered by any supermarket to date. Fill your boots Fellow HUKDers.

worth checking out i think

Was in Tesco express yesterday and the cashier said that there will be loads ofgood offers on soon , perhaps this is one of them.

B1G1F and B1G2F on at the same time would be nice X)

was in my local tesco last night and they had them buy one get one free even at that its still rip off city

impending glitch.........

Is this all types of tesco? Wondering what time this will go live in 24h stores ...

could be a really good deal

Perhaps this thread should be put on hold until it's confirmed?

Awww gutted knew I should have waited bought loads when they were on Bogof :-(
Hot deal tho

Anyone got them yet

If I know Tescos they will probably bump the price up to something equivalent to buying 2 or three at the normal price anyway. Call me a pessimistic, but when ever I find they are doing a 'Buy 1 Get 2 Free' I always find the price almost exactly the same as buying three individually elsewhere - take Pringles for example, almost everywhere you can find them for around £1.00 individually (even and often in Tescos), yet when Tescos do their 'Buy 1 Get 2 Free' on Pringles the individual price of a tube goes up to £2.49.

Shareholders in WeightWatchers must love Christmas.

Great thanks!!

buggars aren't they... anyone would think the selfish sods were trying to … buggars aren't they... anyone would think the selfish sods were trying to run a business and had shareholders to satisfy.... who'd have thought they were there to make money?

I totally agree with you 100%, but to if you're going to play your punters for mugs and assume that they're not eventually going to notice then they're going to end up loosing those punters - I'm all for genuine offers, but offers that require you to buy three (two fee) of the same at a price that is almost three multiplied is not really much of an offer.

I think people should check with realblender first to see if there's any moral ambiguity in purchasing this deal if it comes to fruition, we must help Tesco defeat the people!!!

Viva El Blender.

Although I am hoping that they are going to offer a genuine B1G2F offer on these as I'll certainly be buying some if they do, fingers crossed!

Why are you even on this site??

yeah but pringles (for instance) are usually around £1 a tube. If you buy 3 tubes you get them for £2.49. That's a 50p saving when you buy 3 tubes....

if you buy "in bulk" then you save more. If Tesco know that having this offer allows them to buy an extra 2 million pieces and saves them 20% - then why shouldn't they try to maximise the profit?

Any yes, I do have shares in Tesco (a fairly insignificant amount, it has to be said... and certainly not in the tens of thousands!) but Tesco are the biggest retailer in the country. They also own companies like Dobbies and have a blossoming American arm...

I think people need to remember that they are there to take your money from you... not give it away.

I don't hear too many people on here complaining when they reduce end of line stock to 1p!!

I saw this offer in Consett store, but they were £4 each, buy one get one free, I thought they were a bit of a rip off. I vote ice cold

I will be there

So you think giving us offers that offer no or very little savings is ok?

I would rather super markets stop these naff offers and focus on real offers but less frequent.

Personally, i stopped shopping at tesco as i find there quality poor and prices high.

there is a big sign outside saying all selection boxes b1g2f and inside the £4 galaxy are still b1g1f
so looks like it might be a good one

Nestle currently showing as reduced from £4 to £3 until the 22nd, if this is included in a B!G2F deal then the unit price is only £1.

Will look tomorrow, ta.

Lmao @ the guy with the shares in Tesco defending them. Tesco is expensive just another greedy company.

Just saw these in Evesham store ready for tomorrow. Big con really as its the Cadbury medium box with 6 items in at £3 each (so works out as £1 a box). The other Cadbury box in store has 5 items in for £1 regular price. So yes, you are gaining an extra 3 fun size items, but it is barely the deal of the century. People will still snap them up though as 3 for 1 seems like an amazing bargain but I'm gonna vote this one cold!

I always thought the big supermarkets were in buisnesss not only to make money but to provide a service and products to customers who will be happy with what they are getting and keep coming back.
Every time I go in Tesco now it is obvious that they are more about profit than anything else some of their end of aisle displays are so complicated that you have to spend 5 minutes trying to work out what the price of various items are and whether or not its a bargain.
One of the favourite ploys is to put full price items on the display with reduced to clear signs alsong the length of the shelf, as there are boxes/cases of them then its not customers who are putting non reduced items on there.
SALE items are another way of fooling the customer they will reduce an item by 1 or 2p but not put on the original selling price, which they are legally obliged to do.

The medium cadbury ones are currently 2 for £3 so doubt they will be part of this deal. I have been assured that it is the large boxes currently selling at £4 that are in the BOG2F deal. Suppose we won't know for definite until tomorrow.

I am doing a home delivery shop online, how many do I put in basket ? (sorry, not very good at this ). Thanks !

Absolutely true - many HUKD watchers (and a high proportion of the UK population) just haven't a clue how business works: they just love knocking a UK success! Someone needs to point out Tesco is not part of Social Services (would be more expensive if it was!).

no one is having a pop at them for making money, its just that we as customers don't appreciate these misleading so called offers.

Tesco do a lot of these buy 1 get 2 free deals where the orignal price is massively over-inflated so the saving if any is very small.

Obviously a lot of people are buying these offers otherwise they wouldn't put so many on. I don't usually buy them as they
1) aren't usually much of a bargain &
2) I don't usually want or need three items

Now the point is, this site is to make others aware of decent offers and prices.

When you see a tesco offer like this on a site like this, we are inclined to moan as they are in effect only offering a small percentage discount with a purchase of three items! So not reallu a hotukdeal!

Rudie111 if the offer is as anticipated 8 full size bars for £1 or £1.33 then that is a saving off at least 50% on normal selling price in all retail outlets so actually a cracking deal (politics aside).

This is why I can't understand why people are voting a deal HOT before it's even materialised - if they bump the prices up, deal not so hot. So why is the deal even still here? Can't Admin. suspend it for a while? It's nuts!

Here Here. I'm sick of Tesco and their 'Great Offers' (and the lack of customer service in the bargain) that I now do ALL my shopping at Asda, where they will BEAT Tesco price every time with their Price match Guarantee. And that INCLUDES Tesco offers!!!!

The BOG2F is definitely happening as they are advertising it Instore now. Only question is whether they will run it alongside current £3 deal. Thus most you will pay is £4 for 3. Good deal
