There is a whole ecosystem out there for Philips Hue bulbs. Bulbs, switches, motion sensors, lamps, light strips etc etc

Be warned that once you start it's hard to stop. I've got 37 bulbs so far

For anyone who's into gadgets but classes this as an obnoxiously pricey …For anyone who's into gadgets but classes this as an obnoxiously pricey purchase, I'll give you a run down of my current setup. When I got within 200 yards of home, if I wanted them to, my lights would turn on for me.After Black Friday I got the deal with a motion sensor, so now when I walk into my living room my lights will turn on for me and I don't need to say anything.Same applies when I leave home, they'll turn off outside of the geofence, or, automatically after 2 minutes if there's no motion and other rules have been met.I have four bulbs, one in each corner of my living room.I have two light strips attached to the back of a 65" Samsung QLED TV. (think of it as a forced Ambilight).Altogether, they compliment the room perfectly. I have an app called Albedo on my laptop (I don't watch TV, I use my laptop for everything), Albedo makes the bulbs match the average colour on the TV screen. I'm currently playing Skyrim and it's a very good ambiance. I used to make the entire room change but now I turn the room bulbs off and make Albedo change the light strips instead.I now have six more bulbs on the way, plus the two switches this deal includes. I'll have a switch in the bedroom (I have two Yeelights in there at present, I'll swap them out for Hue) and then, like another person has said, I won't need to yell at Alexa at 3am if I need to pee.Plus I'm getting two brand new v2 Alexas, so my misses is going to get a v1 off me for Christmas and my other v1 will go on eBay.With the superfluous items (Three bridges, pack of GU10s, two Alexas, an Echo dot) I will make enough money back to have warranted paying so much money on this kit. Also, I currently own two Yeelights and there's four more on the way from purchases made in November. When I move house next year I will be replacing all of my fittings with E40's and Yeelight any room that Hue doesn't need to be in.

no one cares
Great offer - basically the £69.99 Amazon Echo for free. Would be tempted if Google matched this with the Google Home Hub.

So is it one switch to control all 3 bulbs at the same time?

You can do it however you like. Have the switch control one or all 3. You can choose to control them via the Hue app or by the Echo. Its entirely up to you how you set it up. You can group them or have them as individual.

The dimmer switch thats included in this package is normally £19.99 on its own
I find you won't use switches as much as you think, use the echo to "turn on my bedroom light" or "turn off all my lights" - couple this with routines (i.e. all lights off after midnight apart from the landing light in my case), and then geolocation so when I leave the house they turn off. I only use a switch for the bedroom light if I wake up in the middle of the night for the loo and don't want to wake up others by talking to my Echo !

The switch can controll all 3 bulbs or you can use your phone app or you can use the Echo or you can use routines or even geolocation (my hall light comes up as I drive down the road towards my house)

How much do you want for gu10s?
I’m gonna hold out for the starter pack alone, with B22 bulbs for £89 sometime soon. Heat added for this deal though.

Haha. You weren't kidding. I just Googled Hue for starters and it's pretty crazy!

I was going to put them on eBay for £35 + postage. Are you anywhere within the M60?
Nice!! Pitty I recently bought an echo and hue hub separately... I’m sure like many on here. Heat
I do want to get into hue lighting but until the option is not there where the lights can be switched on/off via the wall whilst keeping connection to also switch from the app, it's not going to work for me yet. Not with young kids anyway. Ambient lighting, or mood lighting yeah but not for main lights. Great offers though.

What, exactly, are you even talking about?

If you switch these off at the wall, you are completely removing the power from the devices.

What you're looking for is EXACTLY what's contained in this deal - the switch which is included will do what you're asking for.
I'm confused by this site..I think this same deal existed during black friday and didn't generate this kind of heat..what am I missing? I didn't buy it then as believed in the collective wisdom of this site! hotukdeals.com/dea…645

This is a great deal. U will not find this package cheaper elsewhere. The deal u show above doesn't include the switch and I believe was a duplicate post at the time. Probably why it wasn't received well.

Arrg so I just got the hub and 6 white lights today and bought an echo 2 from Argos when they were on a deal, but I really want colour bulbs but mostly gu10 as most if my home has energy saving leds. Im looking at the 6 bulbs I have and cannot see how im going to use them all. Would I be best to return the echo to Argos think it came in at £58 after cashback, buy a hub £25 and get the ikea colour bulbs, can you buy them on there own as I can only see them in a kit.. help im way new to this lighting thing.

I think he is referring to getting all on board not to touch the existing switches. I have bought faceplates that hold the hue dimmer switches and go over existing switches to get around this issue.

Where did you get the faceplates?
Such a shame the deal don’t come with the E14 bulbs as well, they’re the same price. Nor can you get b15 bulbs from ANY brand that connects to hue.
Why do I keep looking at these smart hubs? I've got no issues with my current manual lighting set up if I replaced all my lights with these smart bulbs it would cost a fortune but yet here I am thinking that new credit card is 0% for 30 months.....

Same here. I don't even know what they do or how to operate them, but find myself needing to part with cash for them.
