They replied:

Totally understandable. As of today new rules came into effect. You can find out about those here: hotukdeals.com/dis…805

In short for this where the item is being posted at list price, be it newly announced or a returning item that was removed from sale.. it's best posted in the discussion section. This is since it's not strictly a deal. Should the price drop from the rrp then it could be posted in the deal section should it be the best deal on the item

Any questions, do let us know.
Thanks

Be interested to know if it's a new version of the hub or just a difference colour!
I got the old version for £50 but sent it back, the picture quality was ok, not great, have they improved it with this one? I didn't like that you could only have live view access from your phone, which lasted about 20-30 seconds before cutting of unless you clicked to extend. Heated up the phone too and the app warns you saying that it will eat your battery.

Are you now able to view the live feed on a PC with this one? how much is the cloud storage?

Reviews were not great on amazon.com and they pulled the product for a bit while they updated some firmware.

Isn’t this deal £10 cheaper?

Isn’t this deal £10 cheaper?

No. Its an add-on camera with no sync module. Ideal if you already have a Blink system already set up, and just want to add an additional camera.
38142850-axdnm.jpgI love mine for the price it's ace
Got 6 of these, fab little things. Not going to bother upgrading to this, have no need for 2 way audio. Happy with picture quality and rechargeable batteries last a good few months (IKEA ones)
I've been waiting for the UK release of the XT2 for a while now. Had an Arlo system, but had to return it due to water ingress.

Can anyone confirm if the XT sync module can also be used with the indoor camera? Ie one synce module for both indoor and XT?
Is this a deal? It’s it’s standard RRP is it not? Amazon will normally tell you how much your saving. And nada. This is also $89.99 on the US site and like most tech these days US/UK numbers end up exactly the same due to rubbish exchange rate.

I believe all models are compatible with sync module. The product info page at blinkforhome.com says xt2 cameras are compatible with existing sync module.

I can't believe how good the Neos Smart Cam is for the price. Exceeded all expectations. Got it for a tenner each with my Echo Shows on Prime Day.

38143026-ZERPU.jpg
Top one still has sunlight so it's on normal mode, bottom one is darker so it's switched to night vision. Records audio and also has free cloud storage. Can't go wrong for a tenner!

How do these compare to the Reolink Argus 2 for outdoor footage in day and night? Just got one still in the box to set up this weekend.

To each their own.

The main selling point of arlos and blink is that they can run on batteries for weeks up to a month.

That said. I'd rather buy Neo which comes with 14days free aws storage. Then from some chinese company.
I wasn’t impressed with the quality of the Blink, I went for an outdoor Nest Camera and indoor Nest IQ. If you’re not willing to pay for cloud storage Nest won’t be for you. With these type of things it’s all horses for courses.

We had a monitored alarm installed a year back, they charge £20 a month to call and tell us if the alarm is going off. I figured I’d prefer to pay Nest £4 a month for 5 day storage, if someone enters the house, I’ll be notified so no need for the alarm company to do the same.

If you set push notification inside your house you don’t need more than 5 days footage as you’ll know immediately. Nest works for me, with these kind of things it’s not a one size fits all
so the only difference with this and the original is two way audio?

Lol^ we’re going to see plenty of these types of messages you will never walk alone, the aim of the game now is you have to be market leading enough to be considered suitable as a husband/wife material - for posting a deal on a deals website

seems this one is 1080P
I am a multiple Nest IQ Outdoor cam user (and Nest Hello) but needed some motion capture cameras in places with no wiring required. I even have one attached to a tree! Anyway the XT has been great as an early warning system - yes its not 4K footage but for something requiring no wires and place anyway (where good wifi coverage) the XT has been great and I would recommend.38145744-OT0G0.jpg

Received mine today and imo it appears as HD 720p not FHD 1080p although motion/image is better then my Neos & Arlo HD which was rubbish so sent back.
rahhjarr25/07/2019 11:16

so the only difference with this and the original is two way audio?

It also seems to have a better battery life and will be supplied with a better mounting bracket.

Change the quality in the camera settings in the app. The XT one could already do 1080p. Although 720p is fine. No copper is ever going to put your footage on a 55” 4K screen. Be lucky for it be seen on a 19” monitor.

Is that a £100 phone that needs charging every day? I'd hate to have to change batteries or charge my CCTV batteries more than monthly.

Im talking bout the camera's in phones.
Got these yesterday. I installed some nest security cameras for my moms neighbour a while back. And considering these have no subscription fee and require no cables whatsoever i honestly can't tell much difference in quality. Dont waste your money on other systems these are brilliant.
