Exactly. Also worth pointing out these won’t be in stock until 20th January or later.
I think i know now why you can't find them anymore at the other retailers, after they were available at every corner of the street. They will all sell it for £29.99 now.
Too bad I have already 2 Alexa devices, otherwise for this price I would have gone with the Google, still available at most retailers. i just do not want to have Alexa and Google in the same house, I've heard Alexa is quite naughty and may take advantage of Google:)

Was only yesterday that Argos were doing these for £24.99. Just checked and the price is back up to £49.99 .
So now this £29.99 offer seems like a good deal. Will have to add some heat 🏻

John Lewis is £49.99 too and out of stock. I asked yesterday at Argos (as there were no dots in my area) and they mentioned they will get more, perhaps the 'normal' price will be £29.99 now.

I think the normal price now will still be £49.99 unfortunately but I hope you are right as I wanted to get another one before Christmas. . Oh well my own fault. You snooze you lose as they say 😔
This happened last year not enough produced to supply the demand for Christmas Google will be the same people will buy because echo is out of stock

I meant 'normal' price if they will still use a 'sale' before X-mas. My fault too, it took me too long to realise I should have got 2 instead of one. Thinking if I should go for the google now, as far as I am aware still at £29.99.

So Annoyed with myself as I knew I had to get one but kept putting it off. Will check out the Google Now for £29.99. Thanks

Or go with Anker Eufy Genie for £19.99, I've put a deal now, is moderated so should come shortly.
£24.99 in Argos. Picked up today.
A good deal considering everyone thought that Amazon was going raise the price back up to £49.99 today , just as Argos has done. Also Argos already has a noticeable difference in stock of the item today compared to yesterday. The Jan 20 delivery I doubt very much. One of the biggest companies in the world that prides itself on prime delivery speed will get their own devices out well before Christmas If you are worried about delivery time then order on the pay in 5 instalment offer and they only take the first payment off on dispatch, plenty of time to cancel I am guessing this £29.99 price is a way that allows them to stagger the delivery date down slowly to 3 days again by the time the price hits £49.99 again . It would not have looked good if it was £49.99 today and delivery date was 3 days time and yesterday at £24.99 it was Jan 20

Meant I ordered it yesterday and paid online. and collected today as back in stock.
We got ours for £19.99 only because John Lewis sent us to a store ‘with stock’ to exchange our faulty Echo Dot (2nd Gen), only to discover there wasn’t any.

They wanted to offer us complimentary tea and cake, but soon got them to cover the difference in price. 🤪
