In case it matters, this is the first generation not to have an aux out for connection to larger speakers.
This is what I read better speaker no aux. As I use aux occasionally it's a No from me

This is the first dot to have a built in temperature sensor
I've got 1 of these and there is no temp sensor! It's the non dot version I think you mean and the echo show's also have it built in, as far as i'm aware and read those are the only ones that have a temp sensor built in.

It's been this for a while - same price at a number of retailers: Argos, Very, Screwfix, John Lewis etc.
This is true. This price is nothing special

Ive been really impressed by the two that I bought to replace original air freshener Google Homes.

They do sound better but the biggest difference is the sheer speed. They’re instantly responsive to commands like turning on lights and changing the volume.

Haven’t yet fiddled with the presence detection and temp sensors but for £26 they’re insanely functional.
The presence detection is great. Set mine up to turn the lamp on when we go in the front room as it's usually the first thing we do. Haven't tried it turning off yet as normally once we're in there, we're there a while lol

Worth £10 more than the 3rd Gen?
    Good question. You’d imagine so…

Anyone know when the U.K. is getting the ability to connect these up to an Eero router to extend mesh coverage ?
Don't know. But this is the real benefit to these new ones.

Can this be used with hotspot connection?
If you have EERO mesh wifi it can act as an extender if that's what you mean?
