They will give it you for free if you ask nicely
This is upgrade of the previous version. Now with Alexa

Solid tablet, especially with the inevitable offers that will probably bring it down to the £120-£130 range. Only obvious weakness there is 2GB RAM where as most mid to high end tablets have 3-4GB and some smartphones even 6GB+. But I guess for the general purpose uses it is intended for it will suffice but may limit its gaming potential.

Might be worth looking at when it goes on sale but this isn't a deal as it's rrp. That said the bloody Switch seems to get several threads weekly at RRP so why shouldn't an Amazon tablet have the same privilege?

This is better than other tablets as it has Amazon echo built in. That feature is not there in any other tablet . Only some phones from HTC could use Alexa but Google might stop that as well.

I am interested whether I could replace my Dot in the kitchen with one of these, so that I could ask Alexa to watch a film as well as play music, all without having to press a button to wake it up. Will see...

Alexa on these isn't woken up by voice, you have to press the home button and then speak into the microphone.

Edit: Ignore this, the new version is hands-free. Now I want one too!

I'll wait for the Alex version

Nope on this one it's fully hands free like an echo
Wouldnt bother with this until black Friday, they will probably knock £30 off this price
Seems OK for the money.

Remember that new releases sell for more now that most people already have a satisfactory tablet.

Hope I can use the Alexa remote if I don't want to touch it .

Where do you get a tablet with 3-4 GB for this price?
Ifthis is like the 8’ version then it’ll be easy enough to install Google Play Store.

R R P ain't no deal! Still good for money but hot when on offer!
VGA front-facing camera, 2 MP rear-facing camera., Fully charges in under 5 hours. USB 2.0.

Not exactly inspiring for a 2017 product.

There isn't really anything to get excited about at this price.
cold no 4K
It's a shame it doesn't have more ram. I've been looking for a decent table but android runs fairly poorly on 2gb of ram and I don't want to spend over a hundred quid on something from China with no warranty. Guess I need to earn more!
A very bizarre review, as at 11th October, from UnTrusted Reviews.

As at 11th October they into the 2017 whilst reviewing the 2015.
Lazy, misleading and most bizarre.
The least 'nonsense' review.

It is meant to be better than many budget tablets for games but elsewhere claims for it are OTT.
