Hope Amazon bring price down as got some gift vouchers to spend on there!

Think with anything Amazon or even any tech stuff I'd wait a few weeks until Black Friday, this is sure to be cheaper then I reckon.

Time will tell, fairly recent model so you may be right.....

And I'm not saying it's not a good deal right now

Do they still not support Sky Go?

EDIT: Forget that, they've been supporting Sky Go since 2015! My info way out of date.

To upgrade from B&N Nook HD+ or not to upgrade....decisions decisions... I've only just updated the Nook to Android Nougat too and its still running smoothly.

I’m still new to Alexa products, just curious if it is always listening? Am considering Sonos One that’s why I ask.

Can you get Google play on these without too much hassle and install normal android apps or is it a clat?

Fire is s good tablet and easy to install Google play and apps on, How ever I have trouble getting the apps to update. This 10" is tempting if the price comes down.

Evidently Skype no longer works on HD fire. MS have ruined Skype since they took it over. Csn anyone reoomend a free video calling app?

i got the latest fire 7 on amazon day for £35 when it had only been out a few weeks, so I'd expect them to discount this on black Friday. they probably factored in discounting when getting a big batch done at the start. initial sales folk will buy cuz its new and a good deal, then they shift the next bulk load in a special sale day, then shift another pile at xmas, then again in the xmas sale reduction, then amazon day, etc etc etc

this is still a good price though. the full price is actually pretty good

If price match with John Lewis will they give a £10 gift voucher aswell to match the Argos deal or just match price?

Really? The Nook had a lovely screen but it is ancient, spec wise these days. I'm not even sure where mine is now. I guess I should root it or something to give it a second life but it hardly seems worth the bother.

I bought the Fire 8" when it was on sale and love it. The spec for the 10 is leagues ahead of the 8" so come black Friday I am buying one or maybe even three as my kids tablets are getting long in the tooth now. Putting the Play Store on the 8 was easy and you really can't beat it at the discounted prices they go for.

Yep. I installed Cyanogen on it which took it up to Android 5 at the time, and only a few days ago realised that there was a Nougat version too. Still running smoothly despite the old specs so it seems a bit pointless for me to upgrade at the moment.

Did you use a tutorial on Youtube for the install or buy a prepped one on a sdcard? I might force myself to bring it back online seeing as the wifes Hudl2 has just died.

.Nope, just match the actual price UrbanFox2004. So its a £10 time limited voucher from Argos vs an extra years warranty from John Lewis.

Interesting comment about the Skype that ...

As it may kinda explain as to why my Skype for the last goooood x-months has been playing up like hell?!. :-(

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

You could try TANGO for your Video Calling needs now instead I guess? (that one is not too bad). :-)

I used this guide. nookhdplusandroid7.wordpress.com/

I should mention on this rom, the tablet just keeps starting itself back up again. It won't stay in shutdown

Will Now Tv work on this? If not can anyone recommend a tablet around 10” for a similar price. I only want to browse, watch films etc, etc

Can you get apps from external sources on this? Would I be able to get showbox on it, like a normal tablet?
