Nice

Good price considering direct from Amazon, but I bought one new off eBay for £85, same 2015 model - seller sold hundreds of them. Might be worth doing that if you have an alternate use for the £10 voucher.

I was waiting for the price on this to drop thanks =)

I have a mk2 paper white, could be a 1. I can't see any worthwhile reason it every needed upgraded. Are these offering anything better for me to hanker after?

Cheers souljacker!

Can you still load downloaded books to this using Calibre?

yes, with calibre you can email mobi books to your amazon kindle email address, or transfer by usb the better azw3 format.

Yes it will work with calibre (_;)

Thanks both. That has swayed me.

Nice deal. Heat

I dont think you can call it "all new" after it's been out for so long. + your very locked in as per with amazon devices so buy smart and buy an ereader that allows a little more freedom. Buy kobo.

It's been out since the end of June.

The non paper white for £43.99 is a great deal with this voucher, that's almost 20% off.

Not linked in at all, just use calibre on your pc and put what books you want on it. Its the latest one that was released in june year hence the "All new", hardly been out for "so long"

I am not on a wind up and was about to buy one but your post has intrigued me. I know the likes of the Fire get a bit of stick as they have a limited kind of android but with this being just an e-reader what are the locked down limitations? I am not going to read magazines in PDF on it, just books. So why is a kobo better than this?

It's not, take no notice, you are not locked in at all

Cheers. Have taken the plunge!

Does the Special Offers thing get annoying? Does it by any chance drain the battery a little bit more? Never had a kindle but was looking at this last night. Didn't see the £10 off code tho. Very tempted but part of me wants to continue using paperbacks and only use this when travelling.

Great price! Currently got the Paperwhite model previous to this one, it is honestly one of my best purchases ever!
Just about to purchase this model, as the screen resolution is apparently much better, but just want to ask if anyone knows if this is still the same size?
Bought a fab case that works great, don't really want the extra expense if I will need to buy another!
Heat added.... can't believe it's just gone 9am and I'm spending already!

I would like to know the sizing of it too from the first gen version, I've got the official case , been thinking about upgrading but would be good to know if the case fitted

Think this answers our question!...

The remaining features are basically the same. The dimensions haven’t changed, so you can use the same cover you’ve got on your current Kindle Paperwhite.

*Taken from a techie review I just found on Google

..... beat you to the Amazon checkout! x

Bought the 7th gen Kindle wifi for £30 on prime day using the primenow app...good device.

Previously bought two nook simple touch ereaders, but for some odd reason I feel the urge to read more with the kindle than the nook simple touch...maybe it's the look and feel of the kindle that does it

Do I need to spend money again? Hmmm

Waiting for an off on the voyage before I buy a new kindle. mine is very old now and been seriously used so is in need if an upgrade. Any sign of any offers on the Voyage?

£10 off the voyage with the code (_;)

Thanks OP!! Also the code is not just Kindle specific - it's for orders of £50 (some t&cs apply but detailed on their site)

Aww dang it! I just got one yesterday.
- Cool, Amazon gave me the discount anyway after I spoke to them.

works with any order over £50 sold by amazon

Ordered! thank you

techtimes.com/art…htm gives you the differences if it is of interest to anyone.

Thanks for this, OP.

I happened to order the Kindle Paperwhite last night as it was 10% off; I just got in touch with Amazon and they've given me a refund of £13, which is 10% off my total order - I also ordered the leather case at £29.99. Happy with that!

Still undecided if i want to upgrade my paperwhite 1st gen to this one, is there a big difference?
