All Xmas decorations FREE @ Homebase (saw in Moor Allerton branch, Leeds) not sure if nationwide

Went into Homebase today and all xmas decorations were free, (except lights). They did ask for a donation to a charity (buckets were near the tills).

I picked up about 20 nice tree decorations, (good quality) and 4 packs of baubels (20 per pack)

Enjoy.

not at romford homebase, still £3 for baubles and 50p for wrap etc

Excellent idea, and agree with thegroutch that charities need the money more than most of us need other decorations. Voted hot from me.

of course, noone's saying how much they put in the charity tin, are they? not sure it counts as a hotdeal if you screw the charities out of a reasonable sum... so, how much did 20 nice tree decorations and 4 packs of 20 baubles cost, exactly, seeing as they would have only cost about a fiver in the sales? or are we the charities nowadays?

SKEPTICALLY FREEZING...

Nice idea, worth a look... Thanks OP.

Nothing of this sort at my local .. many Christmas decorations are only at 1/2 price.

Good idea, charities need all the help they can get now we have the charity hating conservative goverment.

what homebase was this at by the way?

I got £70.00 worth and left them a chocolate coin. lol

It will only be at your local homebase im afraid.

Your local Homebase is the one nearest to you.

Doncaster Homebase yesterday had reduced about half the stuff to 15p (no charity in Donny), with a load of stuff still to be reduced.

Sorry, but I don't see the 'deal' here because we don't even know where it can be got.
And shouldn't it be in Freebies?

I know, all comments say their "local" Homebase were not doing this so which branch was it at??

My local store in Bishop Auckland isnt giving away free decorations - so which area was? Anyone could post a deal like this but it doesnt help anyone if they dont say where it is

Feel if the op doesn't post details as to where they got these free this should be expired

Heat given for a posting with no proof as to where they got these freebies

Plus no other member has found them yet for no cost, sorry not voted yet till extra info provided

Thanks

Sorry, missed this vital piece of info, it was at Moor Allerton, Leeds. As you walk into the store there';s loads of xmas decorations on the right. You'll see posters displayed telling you to "fill your baskets" (they actually used this phrase) with xmas decorations (except lights). Then it ends with a request to make a donation to a local charity.

Technically no, as you really should make a donation.
