Came past this just seems a huge bargain price at £11 per month sim only deal, details of the plan below
Your plan explained.
Personal Hotspot.

On our Essential Plans, you can’t use your inclusive data allowance to create a personal hotspot (this is where you share your phone’s internet with other devices such as tablets and laptops). If you want to do this, you can buy an Add-Personal Hotspot Add-on when needed of 1GB, 3GB or 6GB.
Feel At Home.

Using your phone abroad at no extra cost with Feel At Home is not included on our Essential Plans. If you travel to our Feel at Home destinations on an Essential Plan, our roaming charges for that destination apply – see Three.co.uk/roa…ing.
All-you-can-eat.

If your plan includes an All-you-can-eat allowance, there are no hidden “fair use policies” for this within the UK – we just ask that you use these for your personal use only and not for any illegal, commercial or improper purposes.
Calls to the call centre

Calls to Customer Services teams will be deducted from your inclusive minutes allowance. If you have used all your voice allowance, these calls will be charged at 35p a minute.
Control your spend.

Set your own limits for voice and data to avoid getting that shocking big bill. You can also benefit from text alerts when you get close to your allowance limits.

How would they know that you are using it as a hot spot?

I got this when it was £9 a month but only got £35 cashback. Cashback is now £50 via Quidco. Great company with excellent customer service.

something relating to device id I should imagine it sets it differently address wise if using that way as a hotspot, or otherwise it doesn't do it all then? It's a reasonable question though, I know virgin mobile told me they would know and charge me when specifically asking the same question signing up years back, but not sure if as you say is it or isn't it enforceable? If your into saving money and possibly have low income monetary wise, then it's not a risk worth taking I'd say on the off chance it is a cash cow if you breech your terms of use in this way, for all we know you get £1 per mb charges or you may even be in breech and be converted auto to another contractual agreement at higher rates then or cut off who knows? Maybe nothing happens and you are loving data hotspot for free??? If I were trying t be clever here I'd state maybe the wifi mac has 2 addresses assigned one for input one for output turn on hotspot and the address gets recognized as outbound therefore they charge per mb rates knowing, easier than that they see upload aposed to download ratios of data usage and then know your outbound signal sending as a hotspot and boom your being milked for mb £'s value on top of the bill, definately not worth that risk to me.

Well worth it if you factor in Quidco

If you're using an iPhone, the hotspot option will not be available. If you have hotspot allowance, only then it appears.

Talking from experience. Had the same contract for £9 and upgraded to £10pm for 600mins and 8gb data with tethering

£7.06 a month with Quidco

I got this just before xmas. £9 pm, factor in £25 topcashback and a £25 refer a friend. This deal has cost me £58 for the year.

So even at £11 a month don't forget the refer a friend; only thing missing for me is the tethering. You can however, buy bolt ons for when abroad (£2.50 a day for unlimited data)

how do i do this so I get cashback and the refer a friend because it says you have to access it via the link sent by your friend?

I tried the TCB and Refer a friend Amazon, the TCB tracked but after filling the RAF form nothing came through. I kicked up a fuss and the complaints team credited the account with £20.00.

Copy the refer a friend link to your clipboard, then go through TC. Make sure it says tracked, then paste in the copied link to the 3 web page that opened via TC.

This is all I did and it worked
