600g is the most I would use in my Panasonic Breadmaker but even that isn't as large as a loaf you would get in a supermarket. That loaf is about 80% of the size of a 800g weight loaf in a supermarket.

So £3 for 15 loafs for me.

No, you're welcome. Really.

Thank you
Looks like breadmakers are in the clubcard boost

Went to my local Tesco in Camberley and the 3kg bags of Allison's Strong Flour are marked up on the shelves at £2.00/bag, not £1.50 which I agree is the price on the Tesco website. If I do the maths correctly, with the 3 for 2 offer, this comes out at 66p per 'normal' sized 1.5kg bag; not 50p. Both Lidl and Aldi sell 1.5kg bags of flour for 75p so it's not worthwhile buying loads and storing it. There was no Tesco own brand flour on the shelves again. Grrrr....

Poor old Tesco. I used to buy gargantuan quantities of wine in those marvellous 25% off offers you used to run (remember when Ogio was £1.50 a bottle!). Now I buy none because you've pushed up the base price of the wine so the offer becomes meaningless. Until recently I used to buy loads of home baking stuff in the 3 for 2 offer. This time I've bought hardly anything because either the shelves are empty or, even with the offer, I can't make the maths work. It's getting harder and harder to justify visiting Tescos other than for 'obscure stuff' like flax seeds and refried beans. They really need to get themselves competitive again if they are to ever have a hope of stopping Aldi & Lidl.

Aldi opened here this week so Tesco were almost giving away their fruit and veg
but looking at the prices why would I pay that normally ?
will stock up on yeast with this offer do a home delivery and get some beer to my doorstep
as to wine make my own

A bit of advice...don't buy bread yeast on 3 for 2 unless you're doing a LOT of baking. I used to get the Tesco yeast on 3 for 2 and then after a while I found my dough wasn't rising well. Even though the sealed sachets of yeast were well within their date, they were clearly losing their potency over time. I think I still have some in the back of the cupboard that I abandoned and never used! Also the Tesco High Active Yeast is 83p a packet whereas the Aldi one is something like 57p for the same 8 x 57g sachets. Best to buy the Aldi one, finish off the packet and buy another fresh if you see what I mean...

Yeah I but the semi-active stuff keep it in the fridge
you do need to use a little more as you go along yes

Got a shop coming tonight. On my list they haven't updated the price from £1.50 to £2.00 but not hopeful I will get the £1.50 price.
