once bitten, twice shy I'm afraid

Hot but don't forget to inform your insurance company. If you have an accident it will invalidate your insurance. I asked RAC for a new quote they doubled my monthly payment for after market wheels.

After market alloys can make the car more attractive to thieves, increasing the risk of it being stolen.
The same could be true of an exhaust if it increases the risk of being stolen. If it's just a pattern part then it won't.

I have never had a problem with my Halfords. While I was waiting for my MOT I witnessed great service to 2 other customers, one who had sent their car for diagnostics and as the problem was sorted simply they did not charge, and the second was trying to remove locking wheel nuts that were jammed and the mechanic advised him how they remove them and to try again himself rather than spend £120 getting them to do it.

True they did that to my car after buying a set of these from halfords , took the car and left me the wheels.

Saying that to be fair if push came to shove then I would buy these over eBay ones that are £350'ish including 4 tyres. I've heard many a nightmare of these Made in China clones of top end BBS VW group wheels just shattering on British roads.

Alloys might be OK, but I don't rate the tyres.

'02 Corsa?

Will it fit?

Mine are 5x100 alloys, 205/50R15 tyres but can use 195/50R15 tyres, so won't fit without 4x100>5x100 adaptor kit but will have to change all 4 sides at one time. Tyres will be crap but still cheap for combo set as spares for Summer use.

I bought a set of ripspeed alloys for £200 a few years back, they looked alright on the car but the silverstone ftz sport tyres were fookin awful, numerous punctures and all 4 had bulges in sidewalls within 3 months (_;)
Glad to see they've replaced them, not too familiar with firenza but anythings got to be an improvement on the silverstones.
Anyway I reckon this is a reasonably good deal for a budget set of alloys with rubber.
Ideal for someone wanting to upgrade from steelies, especially if the tyres are due for replacement anytime soon.
Heat added Op!

15 in wheels, lol

I worked for an insurance company almost 30 years ago and worked in claims - they will try everything to not pay and mods of any kind not listed wont help and the RAC insurance is a joke for doubling the premium

LOL, don't forget that IF you buy these they will need to be balanced, otherwise expect the crap tyres to wear unevenly.

and im guessing that stealth is currently driving an uninsured car, going by his comment. Therefore wasting every penny he pays to the robbing insurance companies.

These will weigh more than your oem steel wheels. This means the car will not be as efficient on fuel, the cars acceleration times will increase and the top speed will drop. Especially on a small engined car. This is from experience.
My money would go on a set of premium tyres, as they're the only part sticking you to the ground - from a safety aspect.

Centre bore, weight and width of the wheels themselves are not listed. It is really frustrating but most wheel merchants omit these vital specs. Deal is expired anyway
