Update 1
Update - price increase from £28.99 to £29.09 on 26/06
  • Allt-A-Bhainne is a sweetly peated single malt scotch whisky matured in traditional American oak casks
  • It leads with notes of soft red apples, sweet runny honey, delicate smoke and toffee
  • The smoky flavour comes through much more markedly on the taste, giving sophisticated and multidimensional taste - the ideal pairing of peat and sweet
  • Speyside is known for it is fruity whiskies but at Allt-A-Bhainne, we went against the grain, bringing peat to the rugged mountain ranges
  • We have created a sweetly peated single malt whisky with an unconventional flavour that is just a bit different
  • Serving suggestion: Drink to your own preference, straight, on ice or mixed in an old fashioned

This has been posted quite a few times before at £20 so £29 doesn't seem much of a deal, unless it's a different version

According to the camels, the cheapest it's been in the past year is £24. £29.09 is the cheapest it's been this year (it was actually £28.95 a few days ago)

It was £21.99 last year on Prime day and Tesco /Sainsburys have had it at £20 on a few occasions

The problem is, past performance is not an indicator of future performance. Seems the last time this was £20 at Sainsbury's was 9 months ago. Hopefully this will come down further but with distilleries having shut down due to Coronavirus, I could see some holding their prices.

Previous prices are a good indicator of what a good price is. Just checked a few reviews on this and it didn't do too well. Malt.com gave it 2/10

" Flavour has been sacrificed for the bottom line. And the bottom line here is that this Allt-á-Bhainne is just garbage."

But it's rarely been £20 on Amazon and they match all the supermarkets and Whisky Exchange. £25 is nearer is sale price.

If you're average whisky buyer went by the scores on Malt Review, they'd never buy anything.

Obviously they don't match every price drop..

Far better whiskies available at this price point but of you think this is a deal then fair enough.
I paid £22 from Amazon last May...
