Your welcome I hope you enjoy your cake its very nice

Apart from the good price it's very informative regarding price at other retailers which I think required good effort. Thanks Deallady for posting this. It will be receiving more heat for sure.

You are watching me like I watch you don't worry I will buy you many cakes for your efforts you do a fine job in the name of helping others I just need a cheap postage deal like Parcel Monkey to send it to you

this cake is lovely and its also gluten free!

^^^^

Nicki you beat me to it - had some last night, yum. Worth the OP putting gluten free in title.

The same company also do a toblerone dessert, same sort of thing, also GF.

Oh this is sooo yummy and really handy as you've always got a lovely pudding in hand that doesn't take hrs to defrost
Heat heat heat from me - thanks

Didn't know these existed. Now I wish they didn't, because I'm craving one and I haven't even tried the damn thing!

Me too. Unfortunately the combination of the two is much better in theory. I find this and the toblerone cake very disappointing. Heat for the price though as it is usually at least £1 more expensive than this.

Never had this before. It looks quite shallow baked. Is it an actual cake texture, or more like a denser torte like texture with chunks of Daim/Dime in it?

Always this price?

Usually £3, but often down to 2. There is a Toblerone version too but not as nice. This is basically the cake you get in the Ikea cafe, so if you like that you will probably like this. As mentioned, it only takes 30 mins to defrost too.

Can't seem to resist trying it... is this national?

Heat for the price but nothing special in taste.

Love this but my wife hates it. Weirdly enough daim is her favourite chocolate.

Some people may not like this particular cake, but taken in the context of it being a gluten free dessert, it (and the Toblerone dessert from the same company) is great for Coeliacs who may be fed up with having their eyes taken out with the usual crazy cost of GF desserts.

The best cake ever. I've always got one hidden away in my freezer. Hot hot hot yum yum yum Thanks for posting this. Heading off to get three now

I agree with that statement gluten free food is very expensive sadly which is a shame.

You are more than welcome

Gorgeous but word of warning for those that care - 1/4 of the cake (how we used to divide it) is 460 kcals and 27% fat. Voted hot though (will divide into 8!) - thanks

People forget that halal doesn't always relate back to meat - The cake itself is suitable for vegetarians

Halal just means permissible in the Arabic language

They state its halal because it has no ingredients that go against the Muslim dietary requirements (For example: It doesn't have any alcohol, therefore it's Halal/Permissible for Muslims to consume)

Same goes with when it states it's Kosher - Its permissible for Jewish people to consume as it doesn't go against their dietary requirements
