Try living in a block of flats with a balcony

please correct typo in title. should be aloe...

???????? aloe vera plant whats the pigeons got to do with it???????????

This looks like a good deal, love Aloe Vera. Do you know what species of Aloe these are as there are only a few that are actually fit for human consumption which I'm looking for like Barbadensis..

We have one in the kitchen ready for any burns. Rip a leaf off and rub it on the burn, instant soothing

I knocked a cup of boiling herbal tea over my arm, quick jump into a cold shower and a good squeeze of a nice thick aloe leaf I hardly know I had been burnt, also useful for sun burn. I kill most plants but the aloe Vera on the kitchen window seems pretty tough. Well worth getting one

Aloe Vera - the wonder plant if you fall for the sales pitch from those MLM obsessed goons. Good for skin conditions but massively overstated in other uses

Great on sunburn thats it.

wtf???

Good price. Hope they have some when I get there. My little grand daughter was badly stung by a jellyfish a couple of years back. Her arm was a mess, really painful. Family member cut an aloe vera leaf and made a dressing with the clear part from the inside. Instantly improved, more effective than anything from the pharmacy.

For those confused about the pic.......Jack Duckworth (Coronation Street)......married to Vera Duckworth......"'Allo Vera!!".......lol....it made me smile anyway Good ol Jack and Vera

what's the point you're trying to make here, mate?

Read the comment about Coronation Street. Made me smile seeing Jack again.

vaguely remember getting an aloe vera from ikea a few years ago for that price , so will probably get more in stock in future
it was a good size,

(we over watered ours >.< )

Don't over water aloe veras, leave them until the soil goes really dry then drench them, keep them in well drained soil (I add perlite in equal parts to compost). Don't worry about pot size too much (they do better in smaller pots, they need the width rather than depth).

I have a couple on the kitchen windowsill and have about 2 dozen babies from them I need to repot later, the one we have sprouts like crazy, and they are going to end up at the school fair at some point once grown on a little and settled.

They are great for healing cuts and burns but also great on razor rash, keep meaning to look for a shaving balm recipe using aloe and maybe lavendar as we have pots and pots outside our door.

Who's Vera?

God I'm inundated with them atm. Got given one pot of 2 plants by my mother, which I split when the pot became too crowded after more plants sprouting.

Now have 4 pots around the house which all need splitting again.

Aloe Vera Plants are great if you have pets as Fleas hate Aloe Vera, and while it will not stop your pets getting fleas they will control the spread of them.

Not quite as easy to care for as op states. Aloe isn't native to the uk obviously so sone care is needed. Decent price but i really dont like Ikea's plant selling/buying policy.

I disagree - I have two - they sit on a north facing window and don't get much love and attention at all - watering is about all I do. They're thriving!
