3x200ml Alpecin Tuning Shampoo for 10.99 or 10.44 subscribe and save at Amazon. It's a good price if you use this already, usually 7.49 per bottle. Not a miracle cure but has strengthened my hair. This is my first deal so be gentle.

In my opinion its Just a shampoo with lots of conditioner in.
Don't waste your money...

Excellent Deal. Heat.

lots of people saying it's increased their hair thinning. couldn't say myself, cos mine's bad enough I'm not going to risk it

Tried it for ages, did nothing for me, heat if it helps though as good price

Did nothing for me too !

Well like I said its no miracle cure, but it has strengthened my hair and its not so fine anymore.

looking at buying a wig instead.

There's actually no conditioner agent in there, hence why after you use it you hair feels "thicker" and more rough. It does work though, some of my hair has regrown, NOT a miracle cure but some result better than none.

EDIT*

Not used this line before, usually use the black or red bottle version and get it in Boots 3 for 2 when on offer. Good for those with partial baldness anyways. Though wouldn't recommend using it everyday as it is quite strong so may cause more harm than help, however it is nice to use in between days.

Made my hair feel thicker

Makes my wallet feel lighter oO

cheers ordered to try it out

To anyone interested, Alpacin WORKS & it works a damn sight better than regain which doesn't work at all, despite the £30 difference per bottle. I wouldn't buy it from Amazon though as you don't know what you would get inside it. 100% recommend it as the best hair product I've ever used if like me your hairs thinning at a rapid rate!

I use a combination of the normal Alpacin shampoo (black bottle) & the Alpacin Liquid (blue bottle) <- The blue bottle is the best one.

What would you get inside the amazon bottle??

Isnt this stuff just a false dream ?

Anyone can sell anything on Amazon without any checks which is why you get so many fakes. I don't buy any clothes or aftershaves/perfumes etc as it's not worth it.

You can get it from Boots for around the same price anyway.

Don't fall for their marketing. There's very little caffeine in it and as a shampoo that stays on your head for a few minutes it wont do anything for you. If it worked so well then you'd hear it from the people that buy it. Not from their adverts that say a million Germans bought it.

This is directly from amazon

What is the difference between this 'tuning' one and the normal alpecin one?

The one in the blue bottle worked for both me and my mum, it worked so well I could feel spiky little hairs growing back in previously thin parts. It won't fix if you have actually got a bald spot and lost the hair follicle, just if you had weak hair that fell out temporarily (such as over bleaching, stress etc)

oos

It's £7.29 a bottle at Boots compared to £10.99 for three bottles at Amazon.

I sometimes wonder if people believe the **** they post on here.

I apply this while listening to the band Placebo and it works wonders.

Contains snake oil.

Lolage!

The suggestion is that caffeine simulates growth of the hair follicles. I would suggest that caffeine is in other hair products too, so it could be a good ingredient in general.

It may improve the look cosmetically. Or for a similar effect you could buy a standard shampoo that adds volume such as John Frieda Volume Shampoo.

Sorry but poor science to support. I belive Nizoral is the only shampoo that has some good science around hair loss prevention; not that it's cheap either:-( worth a look for those who don't see this working.

actually caffeine blocks the effect of testosterone which is what causes hair to fall out.

Expensive gimmick even at this price.

Let it go!

So will drinking lots of coffee have the same effect?

What is the difference between this 'tuning' one and the normal alpecin one?

This one has a brown dye ( pigment) in it - not to be used on light coloured hair !!!

No. but dunking your head in a cappuccino might

this is topical so goes straight to the hair/roots, I don't know how much caffeine gets to the hair by being ingested but I remember reading ingested caffeine inhibits absorption of nutrients, if I was a scientist I would suggest this could lead to less production of testosterone by the body and therefore possibly could have a similar effect, I imagine this hypothesis has already been explored it you wanted to look into it

What is this like in comparison to horse manure rubbed on twice daily?oO

Actually DHT causes hair loss not testosterone.

Down to £5.49 a (Grey Bottle) at Boots at the moment.

Not exactly true. Genetics determine whether your hair follicles will become affected by the hormone DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) which is converted from Testosterone.

Caffeine has been proven to have a stimulating effect on the hair follicle, but I haven't seen any reports proving it's effectiveness in a shampoo form.

Seems 18.80 now

This is about as useful as a coffee enema.

the 10.99 ones are in the new/ used section

Forget about this. If u have a problem with your hair use the horse shampoo. I use myself last 2 months and my hairs came the world. Its getting thicker and stronger.i was losing my hairs thats stopped as well.
