They were 3 for £3 at sainsburys. So this is a much better deal. Shame I've already stocked up. Great for making banana ice cream too:) Have some heat.

What do they taste like and what are the benefits?

I find it ok on its own but not so much in coffee. I use it in smoothies.

tastes like nutty milk. it isn't sweet. I use it on cereal, its lovely with porridge. its plant based and dairy free, low fat

Love this stuff! Heat OP

I quite like it in coffee. Much prefer it to the dairy stuff. I find it alot creamier. I drink it in both tea and coffee. On top of my cereal, in porridge, banana ice cream and baking. There is quite abit of a calorie difference between say this and semi-skimmed milk. For the same amount consumed. It did take abit of getting used to though

Damn and I thought milking a cat was hard work?

What's maz?

It's disgusting so you'll need to mix it with something. Doesn't work well just as a milk for cereal

shak

What's maz?

Possibly like waz but without the M

i use it with cereal - but I need to use a plastic spoon as a metal one seems to give it a strong metallic flavour.
I really like it.

Almond milk is the future! Much healthier than dairy but it is an acquired taste.
Perfect for those with a low tolerance for dairy.

I've been using the unsweetened almond milk as a cow's milk replacement for about a year now for cereals, coffee and shakes.

Its a question of taste isn't it.. nice to some and not so nice to others.... calling it disgusting is a bit harsh..

What do you think is unhealthy about milk, exactly? Unless you're lactose intolerant, which the majority of people in the UK aren't, milk is perfectly healthy. Plenty of protein, calcium, vitamins A, B, D and others. It seems to be a very popular fad to unnecessarily remove dairy and gluten from your diet these days. It's tosh.

OK, well in case you're incapable of reading or searching for information yourself: Milk is by no means the best or cheapest source of Calcium.

It has been pushed on the public in order to subsidise farmers in many countries using tax money. Even if you aren't a vegan and don't care about animal welfare (which I am and do) it is a very wasteful use of resources considering the economic times we live in. Our resources could be used much more efficiently, instead we are taxed by the government to feed enormous amounts of food to cows who then produce a product that between 5% and 95%, depending on race, aren't even able to process.

Without government aid and propaganda milk production would probably have either drastically declined or ceased decades ago. The only reason it is competitive in price with the alternatives is subsidy and economy of scale which it wouldn't have without government backing.

Some people will say "well I like drinking milk and don't care about all that because it tastes good". Guess what, if your parents and the government had relentlessly pushed Soy milk or rice milk or whatever other crap on you from year dot you would probably have become accustomed to that taste and would have the exact same feeling about it as any other product. It's called indoctrination.

Tried soy milk for a fortnight as an experiment and still think it tastes like crap. Believe it or not people can actually like something without being indoctrinated. Who cares why milk became popular or if there are better sources of calcium. I drink it because I like the taste and it takes the edge off the tanins in my cup of tea.
