Just saw the 100GB redemption URL for the new 100GB Chromebook offer on Google Drive drive.google.com/redeem

Hit the upgrade button and got the 100GB free on my months old Chromebook 5 550! Screenshots below.

I have pretty much all my data on Google's cloud services.

Google Drive hosts all my cloud files (will host more now I have even more room)
I use Google Contacts, calendar and GMail.
Chrome Sync takes care of my browsing synchronisation with Chrome on Android and iOS too.
Lastly, I use Google Music for my cloud music playback so thanks to all the above, the Chromebook works very well for me. I enabled Google Music via this: engadget.com/201…it/

For anyone who uses a lot of Google services and need a light, cheap laptop, the new Chromebooks seem like a decent solution to me. If you want to run native applications on a laptop though, I'd steer clear of them.

Mmm tempted.
So will sync with iOS

How long is this Drive storage offer valid?

You will have 100 GB of free storage for 2 years, starting on the date you redeem the offer.

What happens to my files on Drive after 2 years?

All of your files will remain in Drive and you can access them whenever you want. You won’t be able to add additional files unless you buy more storage at google.com/set…age.

Tried changing user agent, got the to the Free 100 GB storage and click redeem offer but doesn't go any further.. Oh well. Was worth a try!

Just installed Chromium via USB on my netbook, and the offer was not available. Thought I'd try... oh well...

According to Google's website only these are supported.
- Samsung Chromebook
- Samsung Chromebook Series 5 550
- Samsung Chromebox Series 3

Tried switching UA, its tied to the device, so it just freezes up when trying to redeem. Oh well.
