Unique PC Speakers that contain built-in subwoofers at the bottom of each speaker unit. The FX3022 delivers exceptional clarity and full-range sounds from the lowest bass to the highest trebles.

Systems with floor subwoofers sometimes aren’t very suitable for PC systems. If you’re sitting at a desk for example a lot of the bass sounds can be missed. The FX3022 eliminates this issue by including powerful 100mm long-throw subwoofers at the bottom of both speaker units. Separate 1 1/2" (40mm) drivers at the top of each speaker unit then deliver the remaining mid and high frequencies. This also gives you a combined power of 25 Watts RMS, a very impressive achievement for such a small system. So with the FX3022 everything from vocals to rumbling thunder, sounds clear and loud.

The speaker’s unique chimney-like conical design helps to improve sound. The cone’s curves help to eliminate standing waves and distortion with can affect the sound quality.

The other great thing about the FX3022 is that it saves a lot of space. The speakers fit easily on to computer desks or shelves. Plus you’ve effectively got a 2.2 system delivering 2.1 sound without the need for a huge subwoofer that takes up too much space.

The FX3022 also comes with a conveniently located Aux In connection that’s suitable for iPod and Mp3 players. The speakers also come with built-in power and volume control for ease of use.

Good price vs elsewhere, but thats some bonkers looking speakers...still, dont see getting better for the money

Awesome speakers. Who wouldn't want music blaring from a pair of Daleks!

these look pretty good

I have the MX5021 myself which are amazing

Yep, I also have the MX5021's which are an awesome set of speakers.

I have a two different sets of Altec and the sound they produce is amazing for the size and price. Heat Added.

I refuse to buy items which have the word "Quality" in the title.

I'm just wondering what "Expressionist" bass is oO

2.2? sounds like balderdash to me... yes the .1 usually refers to the subwoofer... but unless theres a new second connection for the second subwoofer, 2.2 sounds like rubbish

I have some older 5.1 Altec Lansing speakers and they still sound great. So I should imagine these things are pretty good.

Out of interest, do yours have a low volume hiss when nothing is being played over them? Mine do and I complained to Altec Lansing and they sent me another set of speakers for free but these also suffered the same issue.

Yes mine do hiss when nothing is being played, which I found very annoying at first; however, for such a great set of speakers I'm willing to put up with it. I work in music, and we use these speakers at work too when running Sibelius.
