WISE FWOM YOUR GWAVE

LMAO, I swear it's so hard to explain how impressive our generation of consoles and games were to my lad.
He looks at me like 'And you played that same game for weeks?!!!!'

This and The Golden Axe and I’m all set.
I remember playing this for the first time on Megadrive
Being a son of conscientious Atari ST owners, seeing this at my local indie made me sick with envy!
(In fairness there's no grudge as we got plenty of amazing titles which never appeared on consoles).

Nostalgia fuel but a really shit game by Sega standards. Even though i knew this i still bought it as jap import to laugh at my master system pals.
Cr@p back in the day, will be even worse now!
First version i had of this was on the Amstrad CPC 464 and it was just a colourful mess of stuff on screen, and i think it ran at 2 fps. lol
Brilliant game in the yesteryear.

Like pretty much the entire generation, have you just realised?

This game came with my megadrive and I never completed it. I wonder how I'll do 25 years later...

No. I thought I would post my moment of reminiscence on this thread as it was relevant to the deal posted. What is the relevance of your comment?
I remember completing this and thinking it wasn't very long. Or good
I still have the original. Don’t think I ever finished it.
This must be the worst pack-in game ever used to promote a console?! It's boring, clunky, and was never fun to play. bad. The forced shipment has kept this somehow relevant, and is a wasted slot on any compilations by SEGA.

Ooh I had one of those, still got it actually

Loved it.
The nostalgia!
The only good things about this game is the story/theme of it and maybe the stereo music was moody.

It was and still is a poor game, and Sega knew it and that was exactly why it was given away free with Sega Mega Drive consoles.

Someone mentioned Golden Axe and Altered Beast together, those 2 games are poles apart, Golden Axe was a genuinely brilliant game worthy of a nostalgia revisit. You can revisit tosh like Altered Beast or, Lion King 20 or 30 years later, it won't change that its tosh though.

I wish i had the foresight to have kept mine, and all the other stuff, vic 20, c16, atari st, amiga, but blame the pc, because once i got my first 386 in 94 everything else seemed a step backwards, oh what young fool i was. Lol

Pointing out that pretty much the entire generation of platformers had parallax scrolling.

Man I loved my CPC 464...Think Dizzy The Egg was one of my favourite games on it.
This game was so bad (and Dannan the Jungle Fighter) that we used to skim the boxes on the carpet and if it touched you, you got aids.

Mange off.
Once injected: never infected.
Awful game. Now golden axe, that game was in a different league, played it the other week and I still loved it

I had that version. When I played it on the Megadrive the difference was amazing, it was like 's**t, the future is here!' though it still wasn't actually a very good game
I wouldn't play this if they payed me! Terrible game back in 1990, I shudder to think what it's c like now, you tube here I come
Never played the console version but spent too much on this in our local arcade.
If we want to argue about parallax scrolling then surely we need to talk about Shadow of the Beast? That really was nice but crap!

A true classic
Awful, awful game. Not worth 1p.

Agree it was truly awful back then, Golden Axe only marginally better! Thank god for Streets Of Rage.
