Stayed there last month in the splash landings hotel.
Rooms are basic at best, staff are clueless when it comes to booking the restaurants for evening and breakfast. (Had a booking but queued for an hour for breakfast!)
Food in the restaurant in the evenings is a buffet which consists of a few choices replicated on loads of different counters.
    Breakfast was ok.

Buffet restaurant in the evening has plenty of options to choose from and the quality is higher than most, for the evening you do need to book and pay at the entrance or scan a QR code and just check yourself in, when we went for breakfast we did not queue and that is because we had breakfast off peak times, simple ways to avoid niggles.

Had one of the worst experiences ever!
After traveling for almost 5 hours with 3 kids 6/4/1 I get there for check in time think it was 15:00 and am told it's FROM 15:00 so wait until a rooms free?! So I'm waiting for 1.5 hours, it's funny cos if it's the other way round they would charge me but the kids were tired and I just had enough and even kicked off and they didn't do anything to help.
    Never staying there again

Standard everywhere for 15:00hrs check in.. you should have read the hotel's check in policy before arrival you would have received emails about it im certain. Sometimes they cant accommodate early check in so sounds like you were just unlucky. Ive been and had a wonderful experience

    What age is a child?

    Well I’m 38 and I’m still my parents’ child…

But Alton towers class it as under 16

It's a good deal. We stayed last year in March. The vouchers were both drink or food so we spent £40 on food. That's two mains so it's expensive but was ok. They upgraded us for our boys birthday to Cbeebies Hotel. Cost us £120 last year. Same again is about £260 for Cbeebies this year. My two kids did enjoy and I would highly recommend Cbeebies for the children's entertainment. Previously stated at both the AT and Splash Landings and these are better for ages 5 onwards.

I am not finding any at this price.
Am I doing anything wrong ?

Still showing for me, I've tried the 29th Jan as an example.

They often show the other hotels first, which are more expensive, so you might need to scroll down as needed.

We have Merlin passes so can get cheap overnight stays but this works out cheaper. We’ve gone each time this deal has been on here but sadly my son is at full time school so doesn’t really fit in now. Fab deal though.
Last time we went Phil Foden was there with his family. We sat next to him for dinner and there was me handing over my vouchers

The rooms are filthy and if you’re lucky they will put a manky well used Teddy Bear on your bed too. lol

Do we get to access the waterpark and crazy golf any day? ie check-in / check-out days.

That was the case when we went last issue. We were issued with QR codes which could be used on either day with no pre-booking needed.

Once you select the dates and a hotel the T&C's for each extra are shown, before payment.

    Booked, thanks

Looks like on weekdays so you'll have to take the kids out of school for two days or pull a sickie

I live in Stafford and my daughter has been badgering me to stay here. Even with an insert day on the first Friday in Feb it was coming out at £316...
So I've booked tickets to the Wave in Coventry instead as I can't justify spending that much....

It was £20 cheaper a couple of weeks ago, I don't know whether to say "don't buy" or "feel your boots before the price goes up more"

I had a discounted stay after a ride op repeatedly slammed a harness down on me as a disabled guest (im not fat either) so head of geust services arranged it and it was still not great. Theres FIVE disabled parking spaces none available asked for help to be told park at one of the other hotels and walk.

They take £5 deposit for room keys nowhere said that before arriving.

Ordered food to our room had an eta of 20 mins it turned up an hour later at nearly 10pm and kids had fallen asleep.

Waterpark has really loud music blasted out all the time too, really disappointing.

Someone dropped a paper napkin in the main hallway it was still there 24 hours later.
