Hello deal-seekers and thrill-seekers.

This requires a little bit of work but I think it's a decent way to pay for 2 days at Alton Towers. Exchange £8.50 in Tesco clubcard vouchers for a one day adult ticket to the theme park (mine took 4 days to arrive in the post). If you want to return the following day, visit the box office inside the resort and purchase a next-day pass for £4.80.

I went at the weekend and the new ride 'The Smiler' was looking close to being ready. Give it a couple of weeks and it's likely to be up and running.

RIP OFF!! You can just buy the normal tickets from ebay for about £8.00

thanks for the heads up, was looking at this yesterday and it was £12.50.

Although, it's not actually available to exchange yet, just says "coming soon"

For a 2 day pass valid on your days of choosing?

lol. not for a 2 day pass. And if you want to buy a potentially fake ticket through eBay, then go for it.

Wouldn't 2 for 1 work out more expensive? Unless it can be used in conjunction with the tesco clubcard voucher to get 2 people in.

I wouldn't want to chance ebay to be honest as not everyone on ebay are honest! Not all by any means but there are a few who spoil it. OP good way of doing it if it works out. There are also buy a child ticket get an adult free on some cereal boxes at minute.

Im sure that when I last went, you couldn't get a cheap next-day pass if your original ticket was a tesco clubcard deal ticket.... They are marked up as such when they are issued. Have they relaxed this rule?

I can only comment on my experience but the woman at the box office didn't even ask to see a ticket. Sold me 3 for the next day for £4.80 each no questions asked but maybe I got lucky?
