Alton Towers half term week Towers, Treats and Trails

Found 1st Feb 2007
Not so much as a Hot Deal but more of a tip for the School half term coming up in February.

During 10th to 25th February its Free to get into Alton Towers.

Most of the main rides at Alton Towers will be closed (bar Oblivion) but in their place there is going to be Carters Steam fair and lots of smaller rides for younger children.

Better still the hotel price is normally approx £160-£180 before adding theme park entrance.
During this period a family of 4 can get a room for £94 a night including breakfast.

By booking in the hotel you can use Splash Landing Waterpark for £8 a head for adults and over 4's and free for under 4's.

The Spa is still open and entertainment is provided at the Hotel in the evenings.

Those with kids will understand how difficult it is to keep them entertained during School holidays so I thought this was worth a mention.

Great idea in principle but I dread to think what Alton Towers deems a small charge for individual rides. We usually go on a cold autumn day.Normally half price and less queues.I vow i'll never go in peak season again

Just got back !

Zero queue for Oblivion and free as staying in the hotel !

I went on 5 times in a row and it only took 15 minutes. O my head !!!!

Typically each voucher is £1. The only real con seemed to be that if you wanted to accompany your little ones you both had to pay so a ride for 3 on the merry go round could cost £6.

Took all our own drinks, sweets and snacks for the kids which was a huge saving as typical theme park prices.

Overall good time had by all
