What times the park open to?

"late" night ride opening until 9pm....
Considering the dates and the fact it's Alton Towers 5 hours you will be lucky to get on 5 main attractions taking into account queuing and movement between the rides.

All things considered you can easily get hold of 2 for 1 tickets to Thorpe Park (which nowadays is probably better than Alton Towers) bringing tickets down to £18 or so each and you get to stay there for a lot longer than 5 hours.

Also they mentioned a credit/debit card surcharge, doesn’t say how much but to cover “transaction fees”..

Anyone know if you can get the return the next day offers if you get in with these? If they still do that anyway lol

As the standard adult price is £40.80 (same as Alton Towers), 2 for 1 would make it still over £20.

As you suggest though that's not a great deal more for a lot more time. But is a good deal if your only going to arrive late, especially if you can then get a repeat ticket for less the next day.

As to which park to go to that's going to depend on where you live as much as anything surely?

We went last year and believe me u need all day if u plan to do tge main rides, 2.5 hours for Rita was the longest wait and the others were not much less. We r going next sunday but ice bought the full day tickets

Last year when I went after about 6pm there were no queues and we just walked straight on all the rides we went on a Wednesday or something though, don't know if that makes a difference. I thought it was worth it, see your point though! I think the only thing we did queue for was Tower of Terror and it was quite lengthy. We went on that around 9pm. The rides close at 9 but the park is open longer, not sure till what time! Sorry I can't be any more help

We went last year our first time to scarefest, arrived at 4pm and to my surprise their was no queues:) managed to go on all the main rides at least twice, 13 and rita only once. The maze's are the best thing ever! I don't understand how their legal! So scary! Like every nightmare in real life!

Been £10 every year up until now and it's also a week earlier than usual due to half-term
