Yeah as good as they are for waterproofing they are certainly not breathable.
Still great jacket for the price
Nice one. Ordered in hi vis for the dark nights. Hot.
I bought one of these 3 weeks ago from Tredz on sale. It has got zip flaps in it for air flow but with a backpack on I still get a little warm. Great wind protection which has taken the bite out of the chilly mornings.
Already got a yellow one for road so got a green for the MTB. They are breathable to a point, better for cold weather in my experience.
I have already orange and red ones. Should I order green one now?

This is not a cheap jacket. This is proper gear worth every penny. I've just bought a second as this price is superb
Just got the green in large. Thank you very much!
What would people recommend for something that's actually breathable then? Is gore-tex the only realistic option?
Wow what a price, paid £50 for mine 12 months ago

Great jacket, don't wash too often
Good price for a decent jacket.
I'm a 46 in chest does anyone know what size would fit me best?
Bought a green in L. Thanks OP!!! Hot!
Thanks ordered one

XL is 44 to 46
XXL is 47 to 48
I'm a 44 inch chest and have one of these in large. There's plenty of room so I'd imagine you'd also be fine with large
Only Black and Yellow available in Medium, should I go for Yellow then?

Xl is 44-46
Add some batteries or something and you can use the code MAIL5 for £5 off £30.

And just to be aware, these size quite large, so consider going a size smaller. And don't expect too much quality wise. My last one tore really easily - binned it after a year, but but £25 it's OK.

No Yellow?!
Would this be OK for running as I need something waterproof and don't mind if it is a bit heavy or not?
Having had one of these before; it was a fairly close fit but not uncomfortable and the thing that made me sold it was the fact that it would get pulled up at the back when in the drops etc. -- essentially it was quite tight around the shoulders even when it seemed to fit well, so you'd end up getting your **** well ventilated. The little light was a nice touch, but nothing I'd get excited about.

I'm going to take a punt on a different size, as I remember it was really lightweight and felt good quality. Cost a lot more than this too.

I've had expensive and supposedly highly breathable jackets before, but still sweated loads in them. I think pit vents and mesh liner do a far better job.

How it hangs and material isn't something I would think enjoyable trying to run in

black is no good color for cycling

Black is the perfect colour for cycling as it doesn't show dirt. There's no real evidence beyond assumption that hi-vis colours actually make you more visible on the road. Dunno why cyclists and pedestrians are told they "must" wear bright colours when most cars on the road are a dull grey, dark blue or black!
Thanks for posting, ordered one, anything to make me more visible to idiotic bus drivers on my commute.

Breathable is not an absolute, like most things there is a range of breathability. These are better than simple waterproofs but not as good as Goretex Active shell for example. Better than just about anything else you'd get for £25 I reckon!
