To those voting cold, where can I buy them cheaper
Have some heat. After reading a bit about these I think I need to try them.
Do these contain alcohol?

I did not vote cold, but you get these cheaper at Home Bargains. A different brand. I buy the HB ones quite often. I think B&M has their own version too.

I’ve never seen amarena cherries in home bargains. Maybe it was a one off

I think they simply call them cherries in syrup, or maraschino cherries, do not remember exactly, they are sour cherries. You can also find sour cherries in Turkish, East Europe or Middle East shops, these are common fruits there. The HB come in a basic packaging, I buy them very often, they are either £0.99 or £1.50. Because these are in syrup, they taste the same. I also know the variety, my grandmother had both, amarena and maraschino trees in her garden, you hardly make a difference in between these 2.

These are the black hole of sugar. Probably contain about a kilo of sugar per 100g.

Not as though you are going to eat the whole jar in one sitting.
And its 45.3 per 100g not a kilo. Stop scaremongering.

These cherries are used as an occasional treat in small amounts so the sugar is nothing to be concerned about, unlike the sugar hidden in cereals which are eaten daily. You have posted several deals on cereals so I assume you like them you should be more worried about the sugar in them.

Wow, I wasn't having a go. I have a very sweet tooth and can't stop myself eating sweet stuff - just saying I found these incredibly sweet (basically the syrup) to the point of being sickly, never tasted anything like it. Thought it best to highlight it, that's all.
Didn't vote on it, I don't usually mention that as it's irrelevant to my comment. Odd though that someone's gone round voting all my deals cold, which is a sad thing to do.

Bingo. Is that ice cream? I have it like that but with some honey nut clusters sprinkled on and maple syrup or acacia honey if I have any. Them amarena cherries are a proper top quality product, they cost much more on amazon and are hard to find elsewhere. I bought 3 jars and still haven’t made my amarena cherries frangipani tart but will in next 2 days and I’d love to make a Black Forest gateaux also..

happy you like them anyway. Don’t waste the syrup!!!

It is Kelly's cloated cream ice cream currently 2.50 at most supermarkets.
Syrup was dripped sparingly as need to leave some for preserving.
I'm not a big fan of cherries never have been but wife is and I thought I will give them a bash.
You didn't disappoint when you said they where good infact amazing. Think it is the skin that put me off other cherries TBH..these however are in a different league. Showed the other half the recipe for that tart. I guess I will need to go in and get another jar or two.
They certainly seem a hidden gem.
