What if some one steals it !!

You see them on video! Report it to police, get incident number and you get it replaced free. Great price, love mine.

That's why it also has motion detection. So unless they can approach your house without moving they'll still be recorded.

Same price across quite a few sites at the moment.

Does V1 interact with Google Home, or just V2?

Think this was same price in few places over past few days and there's a new version released. I was tempted to bite but put off by having to pay a subscription per device for recording functionality.

They'll only replace it once.

If it’s fitted right they will have a job,
4 x screws into a wall/doorframe
2 x screws the fastens the bell the the holder
It’s not something your likely to get ripped off by someone pulling at it.

I believe It is replaced free of charge ( as seen on TV)

Are you sure? I thought I'd read they replace it indefinitely?

I'd wait for the new one or the nest one if you've got that

Okay, so how do you open the door for them?

Like the look of the new Nest one but there's no chance im entertaining £200+ on a doorbell.

Watching multiple YouTube videals and the general consensus is that the new one isn’t worth the extra money so I’m gonna go with this, also the new one has no battery so needs to be wired in and transformers added to the house wiring, advises to get a qualified electrician to install which will add another £50-100 on top of the purchase price

Thanks! Ordered

If it gets nicked they replace it, as long as you have a crime number- and only once. I bought the 2 yesterday as the video is better, remember you also need to buy a chime with this at £20-25, so the Ring2 with chime set at Argos or AO for £160-165 is good value.

The ring 2 has a removable battery or can be hard wired.

You don’t have to pay subscription, you can if you want to keep all your vids for ever but I honestly don’t see why you would. - any videos cb be saved to device.

Is the Chime for £21 a decent price?

You can't save videos to your device? You'd need a constant connection from door bell to device for that to happen. Meaning killing your 4G data when you're out and killing you're phone battery regardless of being home or not.

You can save the videos, I have one myself and there is an option to save to camera roll or email video clip.

Good for you, go for it! I hate having to change batteries, such a pain but if thats Ok for you, good luck with it. They look great products.

I highly doubt that, unfortunately. They're going full HD and HDR, along with facial recognition (at a monthly premium no doubt!), I'll be genuinely gobsmacked if it's a penny less than £199.

You can only save the clips that you're watching right? You can't save clips when the phone screen is off.

E.G. You can't wake up in the morning and see what happened during the night. You also can't see when someone steals your bell unless you're coincidently watching at the same time.

Right?

Got an inside track.
There’s going to be a light launch, followed by someaggressive marketing wise close to Easter.

Still charging for storage though

No, it records any motion on your drive- so when I wake up in the morning (to use your example) it’ll have a list of video clips of any movement on my drive throughout the night- these can be emailed or saved if you want to.

I’ll be wiring into my existing door bell wires which charges the battery so no need to remove them at all
