Great idea so you can home to a lovely warm stew now the nights are drawing in!
It was available instore at our big Tescos at Shoreham in West Sussex and is advertised on the Tescos Direct site. Felt great when I lifted it and inspected it. Not flimsy but also not so heavy you need a weight lifter to help you.
Hope it is a good buy for someone!
Be gentle - first proper post!

looks good to me - heat added

yeh looks good, heat from me, we got a cheap one from Asda for £7.50 the other week in the sale and we've used it loads, great for curry, lamb shanks etc.

saw this in my local yesterday..looks a bargain

just had a lamb stew out of it really good, size is good too with plenty of room for larger joints.

well worth a tenner

never thought to post it on here as its always been a tenner in my local tesco

Only problem I have is no timer, so a pain if you work long hours. I use mine all the time though, love it

I have this one, its great - I do rice pud in mine Deeeeeeeeeeeeeelish!

ooh share the rice pudding recipe then  :-D

Got this it is fab! Easy to wash up as well. Has been available at this price for ages. If it is too small you can get a larger version in Sainsbury's although not sure of the price.

Serves 6
Cook for 4 - 41/2 hours
Cook on low

Butter for greasing
900ml (1 1/2 pints) full fat milk
75g pudding rice
75g caster sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence

grated nutmeg for sprinkling and cinnamon (lots for us!)
extra thick cream an red berry jam to serve

Method
Brush cooker pot with buttter, pour milk into saucepan, 'bring just to boil then pour into cooker pot

Add rice, sugar, vanilla essence, Sprinkle top with nutmeg. Cover with lid and cook on low for 4 - 41/2 hours dont leave to cook longer than this or the milk will begin to separate.

Serve with cream and jam on top.

I dont think the recipe serves 6, more 4 good portions

does nyoe tik haveng one that has a timer is vital? I suspect it is if you leave it on all day

Attach the 3 pin power plug to a timer.

this is the same one instore which was also £10 for those who don't have a direct desk instore it's worth having a look

Fantastic for porridge.

Put it on low at about midnight (use a plug in timer if you want (really cheap 3 pack in Ikea)) and wake up to the house filled with the smell of hot porridge. Lovely.

Hmm, bit of a fire risk - after a fire safety lecture at work I've stopped using the dishwasher, washing machine, mobile phone charger etc overnight.

Not impressed with a russel hobbs I bought recently - so for £10 I will give this a go instead.

I saw this in Tesco today and it looks like a really good qulity product! I'd have bought it but managed to get one knocked down to £15 in Curries yesterday (Russel Hobbs one!)
