"Monitor stand raises monitor up 10.8 cm"
aka two reams of printer paper, which would be cheaper
For god sake I'm really getting annoyed with the new lay out. Repeatedly click to open, does sod all, then decided I clicked somewhere else entirely and down votes. Sorry op I didn't mean to.

These are quite handy, cos of the storage you get under. I'm currently using some wood and Lego legs. But this would be nicer

You can keep your laptop under this and save desk space. I use this setup at office.

Available on eBay for £9.5 incase someone missed this deal.
Amazon Student account get 15% off. (£6.45)
Inexpensive and does the job. Heat
This is stupid.

All you have to do is screw 3 pieces of wood together to create the same type of stand.

COLD. Waste of money.

For you maybe. But for others this is a good deal and it's the cheapest it's ever been as well as comparably cheap to similar stands from a reputable brand. Why vote cold?

Because it's daft to pay £12 for something like this.

People on here seem to have lost the ability to make even the simplest things and instead need everything to come out of a packet.

Like I said, you knock something like this together using junk lying about the house. Not only alot more satisfying but also cheaper.

And if you can't even turn a screwdriver, you can make the same monitor plinth with a plank of wood placed on top of a thick book or dictionary at either end!!

1) It's more than £4 less than £12
2) For some to make this themselves it would likely cost the same amount to buy materials (and possibly tools) Some will also be buying this for office use and I doubt they could make one at work
3) To make your suggested stand you would be unable to read the book

In summary, your reason for voting cold doesn't make sense to me. If it's not for you, that's fine, move along. Anyway, this will help some people and that's why I posted it. You can enjoy your monitor on your satisfyingly built wood and book plinth

Oh come on, it's utterly daft to pay money for something like this.

Like I said, you can easily make something like this out of stuff just lying around the house or in the garage.

Cost: zero
Satisfaction: loads

It's not daft if you want/need one

Some people won't have the stuff lying around the house or in the garage

Cost: original cost of materials
Satisfaction: didn't have to spend time or effort getting materials, making stand and then repeatedly moving a monitor and plank of wood to read a book

I bet you eat alot of ready made, microwaved meals too.... :-)

Make one yourself. Get your kids involved and let them learn something instead of making excuses and being lazy.

It's so simple and you can find the parts anywhere.

Must admit I lean more to Domino's pizza than microwave meals myself

I agree with you that it would be better to make a stand, but some people don't have the materials or tools and this is a good deal for anyone that wants one

It's easy, just walk into your kitchen and rip one or two cabinet doors off their hinges, chop, screw = DONE

Seems a bit odd that this stand can only hold metal monitors, most monitors are made out of plastic, oh well
Thanks OP. Ordered one. Just what I was after
