Notice how these have a subscription plan (free trial included) unlike the other blink products - XT2 for example... Got to wonder if those are going to lose the free cloud storage?

The note from Amazon to existing owners of XT2 did mention that free storage will continue, and if you own XT2 you won’t have to pay for Mini storage.

This is the camera and sync module that can be used on the same app but it’s not the new one where you can record onto a USB. With this you will have to pay a subscription. You’re better off waiting for the new one in the link to be released so you can avoid subscription fees.

It was an email sent to all existing Blink XT owners on 3 April. So long as you had a Blink XT system registered prior to April, you can add the mini to your existing blink account and receive free cloud storage.

Thank you.
I tried to post a deal for the Blink Mini on 3 April to advise about the free cloud storage as it may have saved someone money if they were buying a multi camera setup and could use a couple of Blink Mini's instead of the full-priced cameras (free stiorage applies to anything registered prior to 15 April). However, the deal was pulled as the mini was still full-price and the moderator wouldn't accept the free storage as an acceptable reason for posting.

So that's a new module that works with Blink XT 2 and the only benefit is that videos can be stored to a SD card?

typical, I didn't get my blink cameras until May, will probably give this a swerve and get ring cams as I've already got a subscription for the ring alarm and doorbell

It says it supports up to 64gb, is this just one of those “only tested up to 64gb” or will I be able to plug in a 1TB drive and it would work fine?
I personally would look at Eufys cameras. Much better detection and audio. App has far better integration too.

Any word on the video being encrypted and only replayable on Blink app etc and not on PC?

SORRY lazy me just checked the link

View, share and download locally stored videos from Mini cameras through the Blink Home Monitor app at any time or watch the footage on your computer by plugging in the flash drive.
