So has anyone registered for a business account and what are the (almost-automatic) checks they do? VAT number is not required - then what is required, if someone knows? I guess there is still some kind of authentication going to check if it is a valid business entity.
Interesting
Need proof that the person registering is an employee of the company. That's what they asked me for via email. I was registering a business account and did supply vat number and full business name and address. But I registered with my name (in addition to company details). So if you don't need tha vat number (as per previous post) - I suppose any employee could register???
Hmm, wonder if will work on a £300 printer?

Don't need to apply for credit account. Just pay via credit card as normal.
Applied, they have been pestering me for ages. (I think they detected the business commercial credit card)

I know the feeling and they surprised me to explain late "prime" deliveries because my personal account was flagged as a business account on their systems due to being a high volume customer. For a one off benefit I wonder what the downsides would be. (if any)

Had my account verified and they provided a credit limit.

But code still won't work, so have emailed.

I decided to apply as I am self employed. Filled out details and it says business verification is pending and may take up to 3 business days.

Edit: Just verified.

Weird, they are being funny with me.
Shame, not valid for accounts started recently, only business accounts created from yesterday.
I’ve already got Amazon Prime. Is a business account better? Can I have both?
Trying to buy karcher washer for 100 but code not working. Any help?
Cheers OP
I have done this, need to wait 2 days after verification for code to work apparently, and subscribe and save disappear for me. I am going to wait the 2 days to use the discount then I will revert back to a personal account

Can you just revert back then without any issues?
I signed up and my Amazon has changed to Business except I haven't had the verification yet?

I'm a frequent shopper on amazon (74 orders in past 6 months or 1 order every 2 days almost) - I've noticed Prime is mostly 2 days delivery now for me. Is that what you experianced?

I'd be furious if they are deliberately slowing my prime orders as a result of my shopping (for my personal use) too much on their site.

Yes likewise, I am not receiving anywhere near the same prompt delivery as before moreover, the weekend deliveries have disappeared altogether of late. Customer Services via chat, on more than one occasion have claimed my account is flagged as "business" which causes the lesser prompt delivery service, and each time after they've apparently reinstated "Personal", i've had to reconfirm delivery address and payment cards (ad-hoc) on checkout many times of late. They are up to something for sure.
Business account was verified and opened today that promotional code will be active and available to use 48 hours after your account was verified.
Anyone found eligible items? I've checked a Karcher and Makita multitool and both don't qualify. Both less than £100.

After waiting 48 hours the code worked.

Nope..someone mentioned that code work after 2 days since verification. Will call the cust service today.
I have had to send of proof that I am self employed so hopefully will be verified today. Would like to know if we do have to wait 48hours until we can use the code. This is a brilliant offer if you can use it on anything, I really need a bigger SSD for my computer which is actually used for buisness so it would be great to get one with 50% off.

Does anyone know if you can use your gift card balance from the same account which is just a regular account at the moment?

306 in 6 months here, and not a business. Also noticed a slowdown recently.
Has anyone used this to get £50 off a purchase over £100?

Terms state: “The Qualifying Items cannot exceed £100.00 / the promotional code can only be used up to a maximum of £50.00 saving.”

Was if this just caps the discount to £50, or makes it not applicable at all to purchases over £100.

Thanks
