Just a heads-up. For a similar price, the Tribit Maxsound Plus crushes this if you're after hi-fi sound quality
if it's anything like their cheap soundbar...it'll be pish. That thing lasted 30 seconds before I initiated the amazon return!

Do you have one? I've got an old Anker, looking for potential replacements without going crazy with spending.

This is not a soundbar. I have one of the highly rated previous blue tooth speakers and still going strong.

Th Anker. It was awful. Really really disappointing.
I've got the original Anker Soundcore and have always been impressed with that.
Bought it to replace my Soundcore 2, audio is undoubtedly better, battery life is also much better, however it's very quiet in comparison, 10 dB quieter.
How do these compare to the soundcore motion B Bluetooth speakers they has on here a while back for £13? These look similar and cost a lot more

To be able to make this statement he actually needs both. With his lack of information i doubt he has either
Hi, I have an Anker soundcore. Going solid, works perfectly, sounds great and battery seems to last forever on a full charge. Great speaker
Both soundcore boost and soundcore 2 are excellent, but yeah the infini soundbar is disappointing...
I bought this for about £17 on a lightning deal a few months ago, much better imo: PICTEK Bluetooth Speaker,[20W 30Hours 4400MAH]Wireless Bluetooth Speakers with Dual-Driver,Portable Stereo Outdoor Speakers,20W Dual-Driver,Shockproof Waterproof Splashproof,Built-in Mic amazon.co.uk/dp/…B1W

Yes, I've got two of them! 2 speakers don't support stereo pairing but that's the only big negative I could find. I'm assuming you'd only buy one anyway if you're on a budget. I've tried out countless bt speakers, but as an audiophile I was never satisfied until I came across it. If you like a really balanced frequency response, then it's the best you'll get in this price range. I leave the X-bass setting on as I find it more full bodied. You can check out Oluv's database if you want an idea of how it compares to the Anker or any other bt speakers. The battery life and build quality are nice. The 3D sound effect can't compare to one of those 360 speakers, so it depends what your needs are. It gets plenty loud and it's nice how you can prop it on the two back feet so that the drivers are facing towards your ears (this further improves treble). I've shown in it the photo

Can you get this in the UK?

Yeah, you can find it on Amazon Yeah, you can find it on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tribit-MaxSound-Bluetooth-Exceptional-Waterproof/dp/B07LGKLFFW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1552421864&sr=8-1&keywords=tribit+maxsound+plus

I might be driver bias but I'm surprised a speaker with 2 tweeters and 2 mid/bass drivers can sound less "hifi" than a speaker with just 2 full range drivers and passive radiators. The frequency response on the Anker is also wider. I'd like to try both

It's only been out for a month and a half, and I believe the reviews after experiencing the speaker for myself! They don't look particularly suspicious, like sometimes when they are all posted on the same date or something. I wrote one myself, where I compared it to the denon dsb-250/ Minirig 3, and it only fell just short of them (despite being almost 3x cheaper)! Worst comes to worst you can return it (but I really don't think you will )

So this is your fault.

All of the speakers need to be driven for 24h to achieve their final sound quality.

I almost returned full set of Q Acoustics speakers because of that. Now they sound great.

Same with Bose pc speakers.
Powered on for a first time - biggest disappointment of the year.
Few days later changed my mind - best ever spent £70.

Nope. Nonsense. Well partially.

Yes speakers need to bedded in, however the improvement in sound quality is incremental. It will never jump from "utter sh**e to awesome" in 24hrs.

I've had some lovely KEF and B&W monitor speakers over the years and they all sounded superb out of the box, and only improved from there.

The Anker sound bar was absolute garbage (either muffled low end mumble or as tinny as my TV speaker) . Yes it was £50 but outperformed by a super cheap Sharp sound bar I had from 8yrs ago.

For reference I have a house full if Sonos gear (Playbars, ones and sub) and while the Playbars are 12x the price, they are certainly 150x better than this Anker trash.

Also, curiously the Anker soundbar they was on an 'Amazon Daily Deal' with £30 off. The very next day they we £4 cheaper with an automatic 'promotional discount'. They are just cheap trash speakers sold at cheap prices with perceived discounts attached.

Anker.... great chargers and batterypacks, terrible speakers.

Some od the speakers are factory driven so don't need to be.

24h it's not the time since opening the box.
Its the time they need to be powered at least 25% of nominal power - basically it means you need a week.
Most people barely notice anything as the sound quality increases slowly (if at all as you've said).

From my experience I can tell you that q acoustic floorstanders 2050i needed a lot of time to reach their full potential.
Bookshelf 2020 and 2010 works almost put of the box.

Bose companion 2 series III - Needs a lot of time, but improvement its just amazing -from pile of shit to seriously good speakers

The minirig 3 has only one full range driver and blows everything else out of the water. It's about the quality of the drivers and the frequency response tuning I think Anker cater their frequency response tunings towards the masses - so v shaped. I prefer to listen to the recording 'untouched' since it sounds much more natural and along with that naturally more "hifi". Perhaps there is also less distortion when there is less eq processing

Yeah, I don't doubt a well tuned custom driver will sound better than multiple off-the-shelf drivers, but it's a completely different price bracket. The one you mentioned is/was the same price as this Anker.
