Interested in why this is cold and also what the difference is between the 430Li and the 43Li. Also whether, in future, I can use the newer 4.0ah batteries in this. This seems to be a bargain...

I was interested in this, but after seeing all the cold votes I'm not so sure. Can anyone elaborate on why they're voting cold please? I have a medium to large very sloped garden so thought this would be perfect, but I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to garden tech

I bought the previous model from Amazon last year when it was on offer with only 1 battery. Best purchase ever. No fiddling with cables, so quick & easy to use. With 2 batteries it's a no brainer
This is a HOT deal.

Great unit, two batteries, great price.

We've the 43 with the batteries and it's fantastic. Paid a lot more than this!

Yes you should be able to use the 4.0ah batteries in this.

I think the battery packs are pretty much the only real world difference.

Bought this on last Prime day. It's easy to use, two batteries are enough for a fairly good size garden.
I think this is too dear. There was another here a while back for sub £200. I have the bosch corded 34", excellent mower was £120 but I think you can get them around £100 do I really want to spend treble that for no cord when I need to get it out for the strimmer? £180 I would probably buy and give heat but imho its not worth it!!! Would anyone pay £460 lol full price

I set up a CamelCamelCamel alert for this just yesterday - very surprised to see an email float through this morning
However, I didn't realise the difference between the 43 and the 430. I eventually intend to buy the cordless strimmer and hedgetrimmers which use the same batteries, so I'm thinking the 4.0ah battery would be beneficial over the 2.0ah included in this item. The 43 is available online for £420 with 2 batteries so there's probably some man maths which need doing in there somewhere contrasting the 2, with a £125 difference in mind.

I've also seen some people mention this 430 is the European model, and as our friends over the water don't favour stripey lawns this doesn't come with a rear roller whereas the 43 does - can't confirm this though. Roller doesn't bother me either way but it would help 'catch' the mower if, like me, your garden includes places where the wheels can fall off a curbed area.

Few hours to go to decide I guess.

I am thinking the same thing. The £125 difference more than pays for the 4.0ah batteries. The newer 43LI-2 model also has the more efficient power delivery chipset as well...

I am definately on the fence about this...
@markdavey1972 can you decide please then tell me what to do
Great Mowers
I bought the 32LI years ago (I only have small lawns) for around £140 and subsequently paid about £100 for a second (spare) battery. Fantastic mower, definitely one of my best ever purchases. I don't understand the cold votes for this deal op, it seems a cracking price to me.
Why the need for 4.0ah batteries?. Some people must have massive lawns. Surely the 2 batteries will be sufficient for most purposes. I bought a sovereign cordless (£30) and unless my grade is too long it will do front and back lawns on one battery. The back lawn is 40 metres long.
So, I have a 350m2 lawn. Does anyone that has this mower have experience on how it copes with this lawn size from a battery perspective.

Was it a 43 / 430 and did it have two batteries? The batteries are expensive but a second one is worth it.

I've the 43 Li-2 which came with the two 4.0ah batteries and i gave £469 for it. Well worth every penny. We've two large gardens front and rear and its a godsend not having to worry about cables and extension leads.

I also bought the 36v Bosch hedge trimmer without the batteries & battery pack and also the 36v strimmer without the batteries and battery pack, and we just use the two batteries and battery pack from the lawn mower.

All of that replaced big old petrol devices that were heavy, awkward, not always reliable and noisy to use.

Ours uses a battery and a bit of the second 4.0ah batteries, once we've done front and rear. Two of the smaller batteries would have been tight...

I'd have been all over this deal if i hadnt dealt already for the 43 Li-2 at the start of the summer

Was it this deal?

hotukdeals.com/dea…455

If so, totally different mower (just 32cm blade instead of 43cm so a lot smaller) and just one battery....
hotukdeals.com/dea…903

This one I would think.

EDIT: possibly not, the link states the lower power batteries.

He said sub £200 deal - that ones for £317 and from heading towards a year and a half ago.

Read the comments and decide , The HUKD sheep vote initially cold things colder and hot things hotter that's the mindless way HUKD sheep view things (being one of the flock !) .And do be serious - an HUKD sheep leaving a comment to justify their vote - Never happens -that's why they are sheep- No mind of their own - just follow the flock ,

By the way its an excellent deal - but you have to ask yourself - do you need the 43cm width ? smaller width ones are available cheaper . and do you think its worth about £120 extra for cordless ?

I'd love one (probably 38cm ) but can't justify the expense while my old corded Bosch is still going strong .

Yup, small minds and / or small lawns.
Well, I caved in the end and bought it - took me from getting my CamelCamelCamel alert at 5.45am, until 23.40 before I made that decision though

I concluded the lower power batteries will probably be fine - and I can't afford to buy any of the other Bosch cordless tools just yet - so even if I conclude I need the 4.0ah batteries in the future, the £300 I've just blown on this will be a dim and distant memory so forking out £120 just for a battery will be just find and dandy

The 43 LI with 2 batteries is here by the way:

Sat on the fence too long. Got a reply from Bosch (finally). This mower is almost exactly the same as the 43 Li just with lower capacity batteries. It can take the 4.0ah Battery and they both have the new Syneon Chip.

Basically, I should have bought it :-( Its been on a daily deal before so I assume it will be again...
Thanks for the info - the Syneon chip was the only thing I couldn't really find an answer on for 430 vs 43, so nice to know it's up to date.

As you say, CamelCamelCamel shows the price does fluctuate so sit tight and I'm sure it will come up again - possibly even a 2 battery 43 LI deal given we're coming to the end of the summer cutting season fairly soon.
Well worth grabbing either when the right deal comes up next time. The 43 has been a game changer for us. Really well pleased with it.

Ignore the small minded / small gardened COLD voters.
