Update 1
Cashback appears to be £50 for the product (not £100) so edited the thread. Price is market leading so because we don't factor in cashback the thread is fine to stay.
Sony RX100 III Advanced Compact Premium Camera with 1.0-Type Sensor, 24-70 mm F1.8-2.8 Zeiss Lens (DSC-RX100M3) - Black

Also subject to Sony’s Double Cashback offer : (until 01/09/2019) : sony.co.uk/cashback/summer

Only a tenner more than it was on prime day.

The MkIV is also on offer at £479 at Amazon : amazon.co.uk/dp/B010X7TG0Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_rpFxDbKAPB0SX and is also subject to £100 Cashback.

Did anyone get the £100 cashback?
Nope. Last year I ordered or during the double cash back.

You can't claim for a month.. So that is after Sept. 1st...

When I claimed Sony only sent me £50. They didn't respond to my emails.

Don't rely on the £100.. Only £50
I must admit, never had any problems with cash back from sony or anyone else as long as you meet the criteria they pay, op says £100 on the mark 4 but it states on Amazon only £50

I'm struggling to find the cash back on the Amazon page?

There is a banner stating cashback on the main product page for each item, need to scroll down

Couldn't find it on the app, can see it now on the webpage
It's not £100 cashback but £50 here. For double cashback you should have purchased this camera between 19th June 2019 and 28th July 2019 (inclusive)
Does this come with kit lens? Sony cashback site has two entries for this camera.

I think as it is a compact there is no kit lens. I think the kit refers to a package that is available in some places.

I can’t remember what it has but it is something like a case and something else.

The terms and conditions say otherwise :

“Promotion valid for purchases made from 1st May 2019 to 1st September 2019. ATTENTION: You can only submit your claim after thirty (30) days from the purchase date and claims must be submitted by 1st November 2019”

sony.co.uk/cas…mer
It looks like there is a lot of misunderstanding here, at least in terms of Sony cashback.

1st September deadline is for purchases only. There is also 30 days waiting period between purchase and earliest claim opportunity to prevent claiming cashback and returning purchases.
Deadline for claims is 1st November, so this offer is eligible for cashback.

Unfortunately this device cashback is £50 ONLY
Double cashback window was between 19th June 2019 and 28th July 2019

(don't be confused by wrong file name)

And yes, I have received cashback from Sony in previous offers with no problems whatsoever.

I think the kit includes the AGR2 grip.
On the amazon page for this camera there's an ad for the £100 Sony cashback.

sony.co.uk/cas…mer also shows £100 cashback.

However the t/c state £50.

In the circumstances if Sony pay £50 then I think you have a case to return the camera to amazon even after the 30 days based on misleading information on the product page.

As regards the t/c, there is a term that suggests a claim won't be valid with any other offers such as the amazon one.

"20. The Promotion is not available in conjunction with any other promotion."

Last time this camera was on offer myself and others contacted Sony to check if the cashback would be paid. We were told it would not be paid. However people are now successfully claiming cashback so make of that what you will...

Apologies you are right. It really is poorly marketed. One for the ASA to look at.

should have tag 'camera' as thats the top level - or at least shows in popular groups unlike the others (unless personalised?)

no, it clearly stated 50 and with a special further clause to get the 100
its not 100 apart from a period, its 50 for the time and a bonus for the period
imo totally clear
amazon showing 100 is a different matter though

From sony.co.uk/cas…mer it's clearly £100 until Sept 1st, at least it is viewing on a desktop computer. However viewing this page on a mobile might give a different result.

ah right - was just looking at the t&c
that is a bit crappy - ofc people claiming now will get 100 cashback due to the 30day wait
but then people that have bought already dont need to be told the amount - they will just get it
Been after a Sony deal like this, but gave up waiting two months ago and bought a Fujifilm camera instead which is OK but not intuitive in any way shape or form - Sony's ARE

Don`t know which Fuji you bought but lots of people buy Fuji because they are so easy to use and controls are simple.

Used to a Sony Mirrorless (which my daughter screwed up the lens attachment, and then the camera weirdly disappeared ) and found that fantastic for a noob like me. I've found my Fujifilm X-A3 to be anything but. Pics are OK, but still feel the Sony was better. Very forgiving and easy to get right. Each to their own I suppose.

eh? didn't you have an a5000? not intuitive at all
x-a3 has much better control dials, no idea about the menu but the a5000 menu is awful and is needed all the time as you cant do much without it
cant imagine that x-a3 menu is worse but then i cant imagine its needed so much as much is able to be controlled externally
user error? auto all the time? no need to be a noob - a little reading an trial and error is all thats needed
This camera vs. hotukdeals.com/dea…600
Which one would be the better buy? Looking for a camera better than my phone for casual use, trips etc

again, totally different cameras
the other doesn't come with a lens for a start and is bigger than this - potentially more versatile and better images but you'll need to pay more for it
